Has anyone tried one of the Rhino shafts on a Mike Bender cue?

I measured the pin on mine and its length is 31.25 mm. The width of the pin across the major threads is 9.50 mm.

I sent the info above to Rhino and hope they will respond soon.

I have twice dropped my rhino nebula on the carpeted floor for effect.

People freaked for a sec both times. Well worth the $250.

I'm not gonna do it again. I was one of the aforementioned...twice!

IIRC he uses a 3/8x14 pin.

Yes to that. The one shown on their website appears different. Also Cuetec has a 3/8 x 14 which I don’t believe is the same as Mile Bender’s.
No. Mike's looks like a SW-style pin. don't think Rhino offers it. they might be able to custom thread one.

I believe Mike’s pin is slightly different than other 3/8 x 14 pins. It sounds dumb to be honest but I believe there is some differences.

A UV clear coat. Do a little googling, fibers can delaminate if not sealed.
Since "carbon fiber" really means "carbon fiber reinforced polymer," the fibers are already "sealed" by way of being in a plastic composite.

So it shouldn't be necessary (or useful) to seal a carbon fiber shaft, no?

Delamination means that layers come apart, not dust.

Some googling says that the dust is likely a byproduct of machining or sanding, and could be harmful if breathed in.

If I were to buy one of these shafts, I would put on a mask, take it outside, and clean it off as best I could. I doubt that the cue would release any more dust after an initial cleaning, since you're not machining or sanding it any more.

If the CF is sanded, the raw fibers are exposed. Just like wood, there can be finish or sealer in between the fibers, but not over the fibers.

I posted much earlier in this thread that my Rhino carbon fiber shaft was shedding black on my hand, as if the carbon fiber was wearing off on me. I was mistaken, as it was the chalk on the tables at the pool hall that was getting on my hands that look like it came from the shaft. I have had zero problems with my Rhino carbon fiber shaft in terms of it coming off of my hands, and I would venture to say, that most people are mistaken when they say the carbon fiber is getting on their hands. I would say that it is the dirt from the table in the form of chalk that is getting on players hands.

So assuming you played with a wood shaft before you got the cf, did that turn your hands black?

I had to really clean mine new but hardly at all since. Maybe a little blackish smudge after a couple hrs. Nothing at all to sweat.

Unable to find a Cynergy 12.5 radial pin anywhere on the face of the earth, I bit the bullet and bought a Rhino shaft. Thought I'd share my thoughts.

Purchased directly from the Rhino web site; ordered on 1/31, delivered on 2/6.

The shaft was packaged well.

8 Layered High-Performance F1 Crystal Cue Tip. Some people said they got an extra tip with theirs, but I didn't.

It fit my Predator P3 butt like a glove.

Wiped down with an alcohol cloth. Damn! Definitely do this the first thing.

After playing with it for an hour or so, I must say I'm impressed for an under-$200 CF shaft. I'd highly recommend it. I think it hits more like a Cuetec Cynergy than it does a Predator Revo.
Did you look at seyberts? Cause they have cynergy shafts in stock
