ok posters, these are the Basic/Routine shots i practice on a regular basis. not only do i practice making the shot, but also trying to focus on speed and have the cue ball end up at a certain point.

what do you posters think? seems like these shots come up a great deal of the time. or am i wasting my time on these shots?

DCP

Shot 1:
low off the rail and back towards the middle. hit either at 6:00 or 7:30 on the cue ball

CueTable Help

CueTable Help

Shot 5:

CueTable Help

Shot 6:

CueTable Help

DrCue'sProtege I remember reading you would not tell anybody anything about a lesson you had with an instructor but yet continue to post these dumbass messages every single day and expect people to help you?

These are the most annoying posts on AZBilliards.

Keep up the great posts!

..........AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHh

I am off to kill myself now.......

Is it ever going to stop??

Russ........

<cuetechasaurus goes crazy, sprays a can of mace in his own eyes then jumps off a cliff, yelling happily, "no more DCP posts to read!" all the way until he hits the bottom>

Shouldn't there be a rule about how many threads a person can start?

DCP now has started 550 new threads, and I guess the other 900 posts he has made has been in his own threads too... Can't AZ just create an own section called DCP?

38,59 % of all his posts has resulted in new threads (More than 8-ball Bernie!?!?!), and I guess all of them is about "Am I gonna use right or left english on this shot", "Do I need to chalk before this shot" or "Did I overcut?"

DCP: Use the next 6 months to practise on those 550 shots, and then let us know if your game has improved!

Can U imagine 8 ball Bernie N DCP/007 sitting together trying to order lunch from a menu??? :p

On shot 3, work on your top spin stroke and speed too.

Food 4 thought, guys. The more U encourage DCP's posts, the more he iz going 2 post em. That guy iz so stubborn that the more U flame him, the more he posts:rolleyes:

Well I must say his threads did help me and many other players. Advices he got were pretty awesome at times. Too bad he rarely followed them.

That's what everybody iz saying. Not all his posts R bad but if he didnt flood the forum with 10000 posts a day N just stop being so stubborn and actually use the advice peeps give him, then he wouldn't have 2 post the same posts over N over

Yup!

Yeap that is exactly right!

One post that comes to mind is all the BCA instructors telling everyone about eye patterns.

However DCP seems to think because a pro told him it doesn't matter once your lined up that he can look at the blond in the 4th row.

I wonder how much better DCP's game would improve if he would quit watching all those blonds that walk by! LOL

If you guys disliked these threads as much as you claim you wouldn't read them. You love to come in here and belittle the guy with the slightly mixed-up outlook on the game of pool, because it makes you feel better about yourselves, I guess. I think in many cases you resent him because he asks questions that your own insecurity wouldn't allow you to ask out loud.

DCP, there's nothing wrong with these shots, and you're not wasting time practicing them. You're not wasting time practicing anything unless you're practicing badly, i.e. banging instead of concentrating, failing to practice your normal routine on every shot, etc. Keep practicing the things you have trouble with, and keep playing enough to really know which things you have trouble with.

DCP: Please do us a favor...which is reasonable considering you are asking for our help. PLEASE, post a video of you practicing my 10B drill.

It would help us very much if we could actually get some clue as to how you play. Seriously, these snip-its you post from day to day do us (and you) very little good.

We need to see the big picture here before anyone can help. After all, the first thing an instructor does is have you shoot a few shots, right?

Tap, Tap, Tap.

Well said sir. But I did make a joke about the Scott Lee lesson (I told scott to drop everything and go to him), but it was funny.

DCP, keep on working, and don't worry about the crap. Ask away, I usally read your posts and the answers people give...

Well, day in day out so many people come and go, not everyone is of the same standards. I guess it won't hurt much, those who can benefit from the posts enjoy, those cannot just ignore and by pass, no harm done. Just my thoughts.

Disclaimer: I'm not taking sides.

uh, nope, sorry, NO WAY am i posting a video of myself on the Internet. unless i can find my ski mask, then i might consider it.

also, FYI, i've received two (2) PMs from people telling me they practice these same shots regularly, thanking me for reassuring them that they are not the only ones practicing them.

I'm not going to get on his case, the guy is trying to learn and wants advice. I can see how it is annoying, but so what? I find it annoying that in the "for sale" section people post very vague titles... So what? If I don't like it, I just won't read it. It doesn't lessen the annoying factor by opening the thread and flaming someone for something I don't like.

With that being said I do hope that he will stop making soo many threads but at the same time he shouldn't feel ashamed for wanting to ask a question or two or eight. At one point were all were in the same boat, some people learn by just going out and playing, some see advice... Some give up without trying. Either way they shouldn't have to expect to be chastised by their peers because of their method of learning.
