ok posters, these are the Basic/Routine shots i practice on a regular basis. not only do i practice making the shot, but also trying to focus on speed and have the cue ball end up at a certain point.
what do you posters think? seems like these shots come up a great deal of the time. or am i wasting my time on these shots?

Shot 1:
low off the rail and back towards the middle. hit either at 6:00 or 7:30 on the cue ball
Shot 2:
also low off the rail, again with draw, trying to bring the cue ball back towards a target,
Shot 3:
Straight in, focusing on follow, stun, and draw and speeds.
Shot 4:
routine cut shot, again focusing on speed, and possibly using some english on this shot.
Shot 5:
another routine cut shot, into the corner pockets. again, focus on speed and possibly use some english here.
Shot 6:
Side pocket shot, with the cue ball where it is now, or also around Point A and Point B.
