My sons new ferrule

No I buy them in squares and turn them all round. In the next 2 weeks we will be making our own

Sometime back in the mid to late 90's, I got some ferrules made from different colored billiard balls. I think I may actually have gotten them from Arnot. They matched up GREAT with different colors on cues and machined very, very well. I really need to actually machine some myself.

Here is a ferrule I just put on a customers cue. That was a fast $25 for the ferrule and $25 for the tip

Penn State also sells these, they are pen making blanks. I would be surprised if they hold up to the impact without cracking.

I was on ebay looking for cue parts and i cam across these.

i wonder if they are the same or yours are better?

I really like your color combinations tho they are so cool.

I put one on my sons and my break cues and I have a very hard break and they haven't cracked yet and I break with mine 7 nights a week. But over time all ferrules will crack sooner or later. Thanks Dave

I put it on his break cue right after I did it he went over to the bar next store and broke 15 racks with it and it still there. No cracks it has a very solid hit to it too. Thanks Dave

Dave,
Unique look! Do you have to use a tip pad, or will it crack if you don't. I've used wood to make ferrules, but never??? What is this? Acrylic?

Yes I use a fiber pad between the tip and ferrule. And it is a very hard Acrylic.

Thanks Dave

most is very soft.

They can't be that soft I got one on my break cue no cracks in it what so ever. I break with it 7 nights a week. And everyone that comes to my shop breaks with it every day. I want them to break with it to see just how it holds up to all the abuse. And guess what it is still there with no cracks and still looks like new.

Thanks
