Well I finally moved into my own place and immediately got a pool table. It's a pinnacle 8' I wanted a 9 foot, but the room I wanted to put it in needs some work done to it, and a 9' would be a little tight in here, there's just enough room to have no obstructions with the 8', the angle of the picture makes it seem close to the wall but really there's plenty of room. Now I just need to get my lights up. I never thought about putting the light up first, now I have to make a scaffold.

You can stand on the table.it will hold your weight without a problem and do nothing to the table if your careful.

Nice...

Now for the light. if you don't want to stand on it. (I was told not to stand on my new Brunswick so I didn't)

1 put a sheet or towels down on the table.

2 place the light on the table and center it using a tape mesure from the rail to the light be sure the side to side and length are the same.

3. Take a 6 foot ladder and use a plumb bob from the celing to the mount on the light. use a marker to put a dot on the celing.
Do the same for the other end of the light. provided it's a chain light

4. Remove light from table and place a thick blanket on the table just in case. (you don't want to drop the drill)

5 If you have sheet rock hooks with anchors and need to drill get up on the ladder and reach over the table drill the hole then insert the anchor and screw in the hook.

6. have someone hold one side of the light while you hang the other. Then move the ladder and hang the other side.

7. Adjust height if needed.

I have what I need to hang the light. I just have to wait for my brother to stop by later with the drill. I'm going to use two step ladders and put a plank in between them.

Lights are up I put some boards between step ladders to make a scaffold, it's nice to actually be able to see the balls now, lol.
