I'm sitting at the new england 9 ball tour waiting for my next match and I am sickened by all the *****ing and complaining that's going on here

All I have to say is pool is the only sport where the players are the biggest detriment

I knew it 40 years ago and it's just as true today, the biggest detriment keeping pool from being successful is the people involved in it...not ALL, but unfortunately way too many.

Very nicely stated!

Good luck with the rest if the tourney. Keep us updated.

Yeah that is definitely something I've noticed over the years. Many pool players have terrible attitudes, not just while playing, but about life in general. But it should go without saying that spending so much time indoors on a pool table isn't exactly the best primer for a mentally healthy and happy life... I have even noticed some bitterness develop in myself over the last few years. I once read a quote that I liked. I'm not sure exactly who said it. Mark Twain maybe? "A young man skilled in the game of pocket billiards is a clear example of an ill spent youth." That quote really resonated with me.
