Yup, the bumper thread is the same thread as the pin.Strange, very strange. Southwest looking, but obviously not a Southwest. 3/8 X 16 is a very standard weight bolt in the butt, rather than the typical joint pins. This is the first time I've heard of that pin in the joint. Does look recently refinished, and linen is very nice and pretty new. I haven't a clue, maybe someone knows a cuemaker who uses that pin with the joint. I sure don't.
All the best,
WW
a few guys around Chicago used that pinAny ideas who built this, all sword inlays and rings line up perfect. It has been refinished I believe and the bumper might be from something else.
No markings on the pin, Ted.Ernie Martinez while at Showcase
Does the top of the pin have a little diamond with an S inside?
Wood to wood shaft thread, 3/8 16 threaded bumper. It still looks like the 3/8-16 pin he used at Showcase Billiards.
Is there a phenolic or nylon insert for the shaft threads.
The bumper on Showcase cues is identifiable, push- in type

it has a small weight bolt also. What is odd about the pin is it looks like the Showcase pin but nothing else matches up, even the rings are similar to Ernie.
I have had Showcase Ernie Martinez cues with the traditional bumper with a set screw though.
You are good, Brad Zaccone built it. Thank you all for you great input.possibly brad zaccone: mystique cue?
