Mystery Cue! ID Help Please!

Knockout!

Cue is a complete knockout, refinish done. Will post some pictures today, still a mystery who made it.

It's a great cue. As Stroud and Janes both say not JOSS I would say that is settled. It never looked like a JOSS to me anyway. For some reason people say early JOSS as soon as they see a SS 5/15x14 joint and delrin butt cap. In my experience most of them turn out to not be JOSS actually.

It is a very cool cue though and I am still researching possible makers. The rings are the best clue. Even without knowing the maker it seems to be a good cue.

Thanks!

Thanks for your interest and comments. I agree, someone will recognize that ring work sooner or later. Well here it is finished.

Mystery?

Still a mystery. Thinking I will send it off to eBay, perhaps a few folks will recognize it and bid accordingly.

It looks like it came out beautiful. I like it.

Still have no idea who made it, but it looks like quality.

Thanks!

Thanks to all that have tried to ID this beauty. Received a couple emails that said possible 70's Joss, person saw one with the same ring work. The other was pretty sure it is a Danny Stout cue. One thing for sure it is sold as of tonight on eBay.

Mystery Cue

Hi Rodcar,

The ring work reminds me of what Frank Coster would have done. He did make some plain cues.

Nice looking cue. The refinish turned out great. Who did the work and is there a link to the eBay auction? -thanks
