Did the OP ever try to connect any subsequent posts to pool? Doesn't really look like it. Makes me wonder if da chump is still lurking about.

I train at one in Texas
Jiu jitsu is like pool because you have to learn fundamentals first. Training and repeating technique is crucial. Finding someone who serves as a quality trainer is paramount. It takes a long time to become really good and quality instruction will help lessen the time. You have to be committed if you want to excel.
In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and pool, cost is a big factor. Learning BJJ means getting a good gym and paying monthly dues, buying kimonos, etc. We all already know how expensive pool can be.
BJJ and pool are great ways to meet new people and make lifelong friends, You can meet famous people too. I've met Earl Strickland, Valentina Shevchenko, Johnny Archer, and Justin Ledet.
Joe Rogan is a BJJ black belt under Eddie Bravo (not Gracie Barra, but whatever) and can draw the rock pretty good too.
My APA team won a trip to the invitational tournament on Oahu in Feb. You can find plenty of SPAM Musubi there.
