Name that group?

I meet with a group of 55+ and older shooters every Thursday in the afternoon. We're a diverse group and we have the potential to grow in numbers. We move around to different places each week.

I meet a lot of people playing at night, too, and would like to make cards to hand out with an email address so new people can find out where we'll be each week.

I'm looking for a name for this motley group.

Got ideas? Everthing I can think of is either lame or lewd.

How about "Age Before Beauty" or "Not So Young Guns" or "Our Last Shot"?

Nothing wrong with poking a little fun at yourselves for being older than most teams.

1. The Cue Crew.
2. The Over The Hill Hill Gang.
3. The Pocket Rockets.
4. The Rack Pack.
5. The Strokers.
6. The Billiard Bums.
7. The Pocket Aces.
8. The Rack Attack.
9. Southside Sadie and Her All Girl Cue Review.
10. The I'd Rather Be Playing One Pocket Jazz Ensemble.

Choose any three of these suggestions, and with a $5.00 donation to the Steamer Foundation for Disabled One Pocket Players, you may choose an additional two. This donation is not refundable nor tax deductable. Thank you for contributing to this most worthwhile charity. Sincerely yours, Tramp Steamer, President and CEO of Steamer Charities Worldwide Ltd.

I love them all! Yes, we have to poke fun at ourselves. We're a pathetic bunch of has-beens and never-have-beens.:grin-square:

I hate to donate to Steamer Charities Worldwide, LTD without that all-important tax deduction, but the choices are dizzying.

I'm writing all these down to take to the group tomorrow and we'll vote on them. A dozen cubes of chalk to the author of the chosen name, should we decide to use it. SCWW, LTD will have to be content with chalk instead of cash.

Pony up a name, maybe get some chalk. Pool hall chalk sux big time.

Lame and lewd is pretty much every pool league name I've ever seen in MY life. I dunno about y'all. One that comes to mind is "8 balls and a rack".

I like when people can have a sense of humor about their age...
How about "Seniors With Strokes" or "Strokin' Out" lol

SCREEEECH! Hold the phone!

I have to let this go one more week! We've moved our Thursday meetings to Wednesdays to accomodate another group of people! There are going to be 3 times as many shooters and they might want a say in this.

Open for another week. Whee!

I shot from 1:30pm to 1:30 am today. I think I'm getting the hang of this game. They were closing the bar so I had to go home.

I need a table at home.

Word has it that a tag was also ripped from a mattress.

I vote for "Over The Hill-Hill Gang".

For the Steamer fund and all...

Seriously, sounds like a great group, and I think you're gonna have a great time with them. Sounds like fun.

Too True! Some of these guys have to 'hitch it up' to get to their shots!

Was he talking about guys bellys ?---or a gravity problem that
the girls have.:rotflmao1:

By the way, what is that thing on your cats head. Looks hideous.
