So are there any AZ'er coming out for this one?

-Doc

No :p

I am likely to donate to the Sunday tourney :D

Talk to you tonight bro.....also, bumpidy for the Wednesday night crew....come up to Clicks for some sweet 9-ball action.....only $10, and you might get lucky enough to draw me the first round

Doc, put me on the list for the 9-ball qualifier on Saturday.

BTW, since it is BCAPL rules, I assume that means no phenolic jump cues, right?

I will try to make both of these, unless I qualify on Saturday, lol

The qualifier on Sat. is for 9-Ball the one on Sun. is 10-Ball. The NCS 9 and 10 Ball National Championships are back to back Sept. 3-7. So, if a player is coming out for the 9 ball, might as well try to double the bang for your buck so to speak by qualifing for both :)

Each NCS national event, both the 9 and 10, will have a max field of 64. Based on a max field, each would then have a $32,000 prize fund. So a potential of $64,000 over 5 days :) Additionally, the top two finishers from each (the NCS 9 and 10-Ball National Championships) will win a paid entry to the 2010 U.S Open 10-Ball Championship next May at the Riviera.

We combined these two national tourneys as we felt it would work better overall for the players from a travel expense perspective and better schedule wise.

Please contact Doc if you have any particular questions about the Texas NCS qualifier 469-371-7520 or email him at bigdoc78@yahoo.com. A BIG thanks also to Clicks Billiards on Marsh Lane, Dallas for their support!

For any questions about the NCS or CSI please give me a call at 702-312-8155 or email holly@playcsipool.com

All the best,
Holly

Doc,

Will there be payouts too or just entries? The NCS Nationals are the same weekend as the Texas Open! :(

Hi Rogue :) It is only phenolic tips on BREAK cues, jump cues with phenolics are ok.

Ray,

At each NCS qualifier how much additional cash left over after the amount for the entry to nationals is taken out depends on the turnout. CueSports Intl. does not request more than what is for the spot from the player entry. So with a full 32 field in each the 9 and 10 ball, Doc would have some left over. Thanks also to Doc, a dear, fun, hardworking and dedicated to pool guy if ever there was one!

By the way, hope all is well and look forward one day to having the chance to meet and maybe play a few games together.

Last but not least, I don't know if you knew I am a Texan in exile :) although I love Vegas, still a Texas gal at heart.

How much is the spot for the player entry that will be paid to CueSports? That will give people an idea of how much $ will be left over for other place money in the local qualifier [depending on the number of entries].

RogueGambler,

It's $550 per spot.

I've got you down for the 9Ball.

Thanks,
Doc

Are you doing more spots or cash after 1 entry is covered? Will the winner have to go or can he sell his spot?

Ray

Hi Ray,

Depends on the turnout. The Click's qualifiers have a max 32 player field for Sat's 9-ball and Sun. 10-ball qualifiers. Click's is also adding $500 with 32 also for each tournament.

It's $550 per spot, so with a full field you're looking at $2420 (each day). Now each NCS host room can take out $10 per player for a green fee, so the net total would be $2100 with a full field for each qualifier, both Sat. and Sun.

If two players qualify to play in the NCS national event in Sept. which will have $32,000 with a full field of 64 players, then at the Clicks qualifier(s) (this all applies to both the 9-ball qualifier August 1st and the 10-ball qualifier August 2nd)...then there would be $1000 cash left over to pay some down.

The NCS does not condone the selling of spots. Your question also brings something else to mind that I'd like to mention...If someone is not able to attend the national event, the spot is then offered to the 2nd place finisher and so forth.

:) Holly

Holly,

Thank you all of your help answering questions.

Ray has too much time on his hands, but did come up with some good questions.:D

Thanks Again,
Doc
