Hey Guys,
Been looking for a nice playing cue (to make my main cue for the next 6 months till I get my custom Bryan Mordt). It's either gonna be an ebony plain jane with white joint/butt cap and black joint collars surrounding white joint, rings at ABCDE, ABE, or AB, and solid black linen wrap or 4 point ebony on maple with same joint/butt cap/ringwork/wrap setup...
In any case, been considering an all ebony Ned Morris that's on westerncue.com for $625. Wondered what anyone had to say about Ned's cues? I have actually played with one for a few hours. No complaints, really...but the thing is that I am playing with 13mm shafts now (currently shooting with a Nitti Sneaky), and the Morris I have access to (a buddy's, which I am actually selling for him) has 12.5mm shafts. The Nitti plays solid.
The 12.5mm Morris shafts aren't stiff enough for me. Was wondering if anyone else out there who has/had a Morris (with 13mm shafts) felt the same way? I would be buying that ebony Morris with 13mm shafts, and I'd want to know how it would play versus my Nitti...and what other cue maker's cues you would compare the performance to...
Thanks,
- Joaquin.
