Need feedback from Houston players about the possibility of Houston Club!!!

I have no interest in running a bar or restaurant which are what most pool rooms actually are. If there is insufficient interest in a club just for the game itself then a bar room amusement it will remain.

Not quite what I was suggesting but Ames will never exist again.

24/7 access, no employees, bring own food and drink storage provided, vending machine, water filtration fountain, premium tables, ball cleaners, premium lights, no music, no TVs, no smoke, no vape, projectors, training aids, analytics software, AV access, 24/7 surveillance cameras.
Ought to be a way to have tv and music if parties present agree. Otherwise, whole lotta clicking going on.

many people that come in regularly in a room come for the social aspect of it as well as just shooting pool. and to enjoy new faces walking around and not having to come in to justify the expense. and many pool rooms have a monthly rate that no private club can compete with.

if the club was the answer then home tables would disappear or club players would just get a home table if they had room for it.

a club has to be a social lifestyle to be successful not just a place to be to practice.

and since there are very few private clubs that says a lot for their chances.
