Need help choosing between 3 tables.

Hey all,

Looking for some expert advice! I'm going to buy a used 9 ft pool table, looking to spend $2500 or less. I've perused the boards some and it looks like among the top-notch tables I could hope for are Brunswick Gold Crown, Diamond, and Olhausen Champion. I've found three tables in my area so far:

1. Brunswick Gold Crown 3 9ft for $1200.
2. Olhausen Grand Champion II 9ft for $1500.
3. Olhausen Reno 9ft for $2500 (including delivery and installment)

I'm an amateur player, the table will mostly get play from other amateur players at least in the short-term, but I'd like to invest in something that I won't regret no matter how much I improve my game. Hopefully this table will be there for my lifetime, so longevity is a big concern.

Is there anything better that I should hold out for? I can't find any used Diamonds. Let me know what you think!

Thanks.

Wait for a Diamond, from what I have seen and played on they are the best tables. They also seem to have the best resale and don't come up for sale nearly as often.

Good Luck!

gold crown.

where are you located? have a good mechanic set it up for you. check the boards here for people close to you.

Out of your options, I would choose the Gold Crown. If it were me, I would wait for a Diamond. Absolute best table by far IMO. I drove 7 hours one way with a trailer to get my diamond and I am happy about it every single day when I go downstairs and turn the light on.

Don't settle. If you want one, wait a little longer and get one. While you're waiting, you may be able to save up a little and open your options beyond $2500.

This is the easiest question ever. GC over anything except a Diamond, then it's a toss up depending on style and color of the table to suit your taste

Of the 3 I would go with the GC3 speaking as a player- as a table mechanic I would have to say..... go with the gc 3!

I have a olhausen and I while think they are good tables, I would recommend getting a gold crown or diamond as they are usually better tables.
You wont go wrong with either one as long as they are in decent condition.
