Need help IDing a player

I was wondering when someone was going to snap to that, cheemagun. Could be why Mike brought it up. If so it's not knocking anyone. He could have done much worse.
I remember when he "took off" from Chicagoland a little while ago, I told everyone that it wouldn't take him long to resurface around pool somewhere. I hope they catch him and that justice prevails for the victim !!!!!!!!

Chavez

I don't believe he did what he was accused of in Chicago. I don't think in Chicago they think he did it anymore.
He is a great player, and he is a pleasure to play and watch play.

This sure is a disturbing turn in this thread...sorry I even spoke up about outing him. Jesse has been spending alot of time in Florida and while his guilt/innocence in this is not known, I for one would not want any of my female friends from the South Florida pool rooms alone with him. Thanks for the headsup folks.

We have not seen him at the Flamingo since last Jan/Feb.

My friends that played him at Fatso's in Tampa said he was very nice, to gamble with.

I'm prety sure Jam is right. If it is who I'm thinking, he played in one of my events a couple of years ago. He was on the road with Jason Kirkwood at the time. He is from McAllen Texas , but living in Michigan for some time. Pretty good player, but no world beater.

Just to clarify:

Jason was in Texas with Juan Garcia who is a strong player also from the Michigan area. His appearance is similar to the Chavez in the picture.

Just wouldnt want to have Jason linked to this guy if it isnt the truth.

Yeah, this guy is really slick, he used the Jesse name when he came into the Flamingo. He cleaned out our at the time best 1P player, "Piano man".

Hey, Captain Hook, is "Piano Man" from Maryland? I haven't seen Maryland's Piano Man in a long while. If it is him, please send him my regards! :)

One thing for sure, let him know he ain't missing any action in Maryland because, quite frankly, there is none! :o

Another little twist-

Apparantly he has a few other names too. It all depends on where he's playing.

As soon as I saw the picture, I immediately recognized the guy as one of 7 or 8 guys who showed up in our room last Firday. He played one of our really solid players giving him the 6 and the breaks!!! Destroyed the guy too.

Then, one of his partners played out houseman (who some of you may know but I'll let him identify himself). Chavez' partner won the first set 9-1 in twenty six minutes. Second set was another story. Our guy put up a five pack on him and was able to finish out the set on top.

There was a third guy too playing last pocket 8 ball with a friend of mine at $20 a rack. The friend of mine came out a few hundred lighter!

Sadly though, I had just woken up and didn't get to the poolhall until 1am so I missed all the fun (except the last pocket 8 ball stuff)! Shame too because it would have been really fun to watch.

Yes, He moved back to Maryland 7 or 8 months ago. After Jesse, Chavez, Nacho Libre or whatever his name is beat him, I think he realized his game was not as good as it used to be when he played with Earthquake & Hoppy and Sigel.

He fell in Love with a local girl and was waiting a huge insurance settlement from a "On the Job" accident with the Railroad.
After he was given the funds, he decided to move and we have not heard from him.

He held Kieth and Allen in the highest regard as they had taught him so much about the game. You could see the influence in his stroke.

We miss him, I was the 7 under him in 9 Ball and would need 3 in 1P. But I never asked him for the weight, I had to bear down when playing him.

:)

I also believe that this is the same JESSE that was in Albany NY a few months back. I posted asking if anybody knew who he was. Back then he was travelling with the young oriental girl (bad with names) that plays out of Florida..........................mike

Ming Ng.

Btw Orientals are fine furniture and rugs. Ming is ASIAN.

I might be confused

but 5 years ago in Vegas at BCA Nationals, I watched a money game, and it was Benando Chavez playing, also known as King Kong.

I always liked Piano Man.

Whenever he was in the room, he showed a lot of heart. He loved action and wasn't afraid to play anyone. He usually matched up well, getting himself a fair game. Matter of fact, I've been a Piano Man Committee Member many times, and his track record with me is on the plus side! :p

Also known al Jesse Padilla...of Central Florida fame. Good detective work JAM!!!

If that guy is using Jesse Padilla's name, Jesse isn't going to like it. Jesse looks nothing like this guy. Jesse spent large amounts of time in Baton Rouge, years ago and this ain't Jesse Padilla.

The guy traveling with Ming definitely was going by Jesse Padilla and if that is him, it's a bad picture.
