Need help in a cue design

In the next month or so I'm going to have to opportunity to have a custom cue made for me by Bob Meucci. A good friend of mine and a long time friend of Mr. Meucci's offered to have this done by Mr Meucci. I get to my dilemma, I have an idea what I would like but other then a crude sketch or installing auto-cad(been years since I've used it) for a more detailed version I was hoping there might be a website or some specific software that would have allow me to create the design I'm looking for. I'm the type of person that believes function over form prevails yet I'm looking for a tasteful/simplistic design. I don't feel right asking them for help with this as I feel they are both doing more then I deserve just by doing this. I've done a rudimentary search for such sites without any luck, any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Judge

Both progs are good to get a starter, but lack not only the option to print, the customization is limited. Looks like it make a sketch or installing auto-cad or photoshop. Thanks for the input as those sites give me a basic design I can work from.

Regardless of the circumstances that brought you to the design phase it seems to me that the cue builder should be the o one to flush out the final design for you. That is part of what you are paying him to do.

That is true, but as this is a gift from Mr. Meucci I feel as though I should at least have a crude design from with to work from. I'd rather have something that is as near to what I want and then his input as well.

As strange as this sounds, why don't you pick up the phone and have a conversation with Bob and tell him what you want. He might even mock up a drawing for your approval.

I think if you are having a cue made by Bob Meucci I would think about some things other then design. Most of the customs I have seen that were made by Bob in the last couple of years had Plastic Joint collars, and a Plastic Butt Cap. I would make sure that Phenolic was used in those areas or over time like with all Meucci Cues these areas will Crack.
In my opinion the construction of these areas are as important as the design.
