Need Help locating cue maker

I have recevied this cue as a gift from my late father in law. He told me from what he
knew that it was a ROYCE cue. This was a cue maker in Arizona not for sure on what city. Now the research I have done, I have peiced together Royce Brunell with OB Cues and Royce maker in AZ, but the butt plate signature isnt matching up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would normally suggest the 3rd edition of Blue Book of Pool Cue Values, but it appears to be out of print, and at over $200 it may not be economically helpful.

I have checked the blue book, but without knowing the true maker i am not findng any that look close to this.

Wasn't Royce a cue brand from the Philippines and was marketed by a dealer in AZ ?

this wasnt made overseas, I have a lucassi and you can tell in the craftsmenship. This was a hand made cue.

Anyway, have you considered that may not be the maker's mark? Could be the original owner's initials?

Definitely not GEM Mark , Gary Medlin uses a jewel Design in his makers mark

GEM cues are in Louisiana , Lake Charles

What's a hand made cue?
They do make cues by hand in the Philippines.
More hands than US makers in fact.
A lot of them don't even have a taper lathe. They taper by hand.
Not the case here.

There was some Royce Gracie cue on Ebay a while ago.
It drew a lot of smiles here.

That being said, we can't tell what cue that is for sure right now.

Actually called him and he pointed me in this direction after he looked at the pictures i sent, didnt mean to offened anyone by the not made overseas, if you could see the cue in person it just isnt one that was made overseas. None of the information I have this far suggests that. The butt plate you are correct could be the name of one of the previous owners, but no way to track that down to many people with RC in the name.
