Does anyone play with or have any input on Cory Barnhart cues? How does his cues play? Do they hold thier resale value on the secondary market? Is the hit soft, med. or hard. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Charles

Charles,

I am sponsored by Cory Barnhart, therefore I obviously play with one of his cues. I have to say it is one of the best playing cues I have ever played with. I would say it has a medium hit, but I also switched from playing with a Cognoscenti to his cue. He has an incredible range of abilities. He has made me three playing cues that each had a very different look. Right now I have an ebony cue and an ebony break cue each weighing around 17.5 ounces. He has started using a g-10 (I believe) radial pin. I can say I am very happy with his work and I have heard the same from many others who use his cues. Also, many other cue makers and cue enthusiasts have complimented his work.

I am at work right now but when I get home I will post pictures of my cues.

i love mine

i have 2 barnhart cues. 3 of my friends also bought one. his cues hit great. sarah is correct, he is using a g10 pin now, i have one in my cue. i tried alot of cues at valley forge, and couldnt be happier with my barnhart. cory is also a great guy to deal with (alot easier than his wife).....lol. sorry landshark. his cues hold theier value, as he only make like 50-70 cues per year. if you can get your hands on one, i suggest you try it out.
take care,
joey

Thanks to everyone for the input on Cory's cues

Cory made me a break/jump cue that I use on tour (and everywhere else), and while it isn't a playing cue, it is an AWESOME break cue. It has a very solid hit and is nice looking. Other pros, including Cliff Joyner, have used my cue to break with and they love it too.

Hey Charles...

Cory makes a very solid hitting cue. You won't be disappointed in the playability. Resale is like most the second tier cuemakers.

Barnhart cues

Cory is just down the road in WV and I've known him for several years and can tell you he takes a great deal of pride making a great playing cue and over the years he has come to that outcome. I saw him for the first time in a couple years at Valley Forge and hit with one of his cues and thought it had a wonderfull feel and solid. He doesn't know this but I planned on going back to his booth the last day of the expo and buying one of the fancy sneaky petes but I ran out of spending dough...
