Need info on Ultraskin Tips. Are they back?

Ultraskin tips are my all time favorite. Used them for years, then the owner, his name was Tom, passed. I understand that his sister or perhaps wife took over the business and were sellling tips, but in large quanities only. Today I was on the Pool Dawg site and I see where they are selling ultraskin tips! Selling them in any amount and had all hardness versions. Are these the same tips as the old Ultraskin? Has the trade name been sold? Anyone buy any of these new ultraskins lately? I appreciate any info, would love to be able to buy ultraskins with confidence again. I have been using How brand tips for the last several years and they are fine tips that play well, but nothing for me goes throung the rock like the old Ultraskin tip. Thanks in advance.

Walmart is selling them for 9.95 for one.
They are now back to quantities of 10 again like they were.

Thanks for the replys. I have been to the site and will contact them. Ten tips is a big supply for me, I'm just a player who maintains two shafts, but I have no problem buying ten at a time if the tips are individually sealed to keep them fresh.

Right? And someone else above states Walmart is selling them, that’s not a good sign as if Walmart has them, then they’re China Skins

Don’t buy garbage from the Walmart site, anyone can post fake crap there. Buy straight form ultraskin.

I don’t have anything to do with the company but there is a good reason there tips are so highly regarded here.

I had a bad experience with a stock Tiger Everest tip that came with my cue, it must have been old because that thing was rock hard

I don't know much about life cycles of leather tips but leather does get harder with age in certain situations. I tend to go through tips fairly quick so I couldn't say for sure.

I've gotten a tip out of the last 3 orders my cue repair guy has placed. I've seen no difference in the quality of the tips. They are the best bang for the buck for tips in my opinion.

if just called a tip yes then from china. but if they designate it as a brand you can be sure its the real thing.

they dont sell fake brand name things as real. thats for the internet.

just sell the ones you don't need in the pool room you play in..

Lately I have been storing my tips in small air tight containers that my wife's blood meter strips come in.

They are Ultraskin tips. She has taken on Cue Components out of Michigan as a distributer for her, and when you order from Walmart they ship from Cue Components. They sell for 9.95 each so that Cue components and Walmart both get a share. I don't know how much Cue Components pays for them but they evidently get a larger order which would explain why they took longer to get while she fulfiller her order for them..

Walmart stores may be better, but the Walmart online store has had issues - for example I believe there are reports of fake Taom chalk from Walmart.

They don't come sealed, just in an envelope. Recently ordered some myself to try. You could stick'em in a ziploc bag or air tight container with a silica packet if you're worried.

I never played with them while Tom was around, but it was definitely heralded by some of the older gentlemen I used to talk and play with. For the price, I'll fire and give it a try. It's the cost of one "big brand" tip + install and I get 10 tips of my hardness choice.
