I hung around the man and was even in several businesses with him but I just realized that I dont have a single photo of him for my book.

Anybody got any kind of pic of ol' Panch would be greatly appreciated.

Pancho is long dead. He was a little camera shy, for good reason I might add. Just find a nice photo of a giant bull frog and use that. He did have a frog face and body! :grin:

Freddie, you need to find that clip from 60 Minutes where they busted Pancho's phone scam in Miami. He answered the door and refused to let them in. I saw his mug for about five seconds before he shut the door. :rolleyes:

I happen to have a few, but they are very rare, and VERY expensive..:cool:

The search is over. I found a pic of Pancho. I had it all the time myself. I knew I had it somewhere and I have been looking for months. I finally came across it. He attended my daughter Catherine's wedding in New Orleans. It was a gala event, a six day party all over the French Quarter. Brooklyn Jimmy attended with his wife and put a g-note in the envelope.

Panch, god love him (somebody needs to), even tho he was holding good at the time, put in an air barrel for his six days of festivities.

Pancho always has his hand in his pocket, holding onto his dough! If he had ten thousand he wouldn't loan you a dime. :yeah:

The Ponchoi I new was a little thin guy who dated Anne Bancroft. He was a great one handed, left handed (or right) hustler who would insult everyone.

The Panch was about 5'9 and would never be described as thin, unless you're talking early 60's in New York. He was more like a a slightly out of shape dough boy! :rolleyes:

I was close to Pancho since about 1965. I have never known him to be slim. I also never heard anything about him dating Anne Bancroft. I am sure he would certainly have mentioned it at some point. I did know his girl friend Santa Ana Rose and his wife Sandy and his 3 kids, and his grandson Benji.

But he was a terrific one handed player and he would insult everyone, so I am sure we are talking about the same guy.

He was a favorite son in the legendary Whisky a go go in West Hollywood - up until he dumped the boss, Mario Maglieri. He probably had access to celebrities while he was there.
