Need tiger stack leather lace. Any collor

A stack wrap is just one of those commodities that tend to stay in the shop.
Thats why certain items are called supplies.
We make an order with one of the cue suppliers and buy what we need to keep a stock on things that we need and will use down the line and buy extra so as to not run out.

If I sold you one of mine, it would be for the same price as I paid for it. And why would I, just so I can go thru the hassle of ordering more because I just ran out.

I have approx 50 leather and cork wraps on hand. Just because I have 50, doesn't mean I want to sell any of them. Its like food and beer. It will eventually get used. And if not, they have a comfy little spot at the bottom of my tool box.

But, I wish you luck in buying supplies cheaper than what we pay for them.

The reason i want to buy cheaper now is because i am not making any money from this yet. It all just practice yet. I am not going to offer my services until i know i can install a killer stack on. When i will sell them that is when i will buy them at 14$ a cue from tiger. I just cant see myself throwing 14$ out of the window right now because i will do a crappy job for sure on the first one. I know i am very cheep but in this economy i have to be.Plus my scale is not big enough to justify spending hundreds on supplies now.

Those guys are either super rich and a cool g is not a big problem in which case it's a safe bet plus they know they can sell their product at a profit big enough to justify the risk in which case they are ok other wise , good luck.

No, not super rich. We have to spend $1000 generally at a crack.
Those supplies do sit around until we need them. Those extras aren't making any money.

And even if someone is super rich as you put it, what makes you think they need to cut you a deal.

OK, seeing that you obviously don't get it and probably never will, I'll give you the straight dope. If anyone of the repairmen or makers happened to be short of something, say a 6 inch piece of wood to finish off a cue. They post that this is what they need. They'd have people almost scrambling other each other to give the guy a hand. It happens all the time.

Someone needs a tap but Atlas and Prather are out. Someone will come up with the tap for them. It happens all the time.

So, have you figured out yet why people aren't exactly scrambling over each other to give you a hand?

Because you have a Serious Bad Attitude. Plain and simple.

Didn't you say you were in college.

How can you possibly hope to graduate from college if you are not
smart enough to figure out you are too poor to get the things you want?

99% of people would very much like to have things they can not afford,
get over it.

I dont know a cue maker that has a "cool g" to piss off! Most of us work our butts off to barely make a living. I would say that most cue builders have a job other than building cues. So they can keep building cues. Then there is a few of us that work our butts off building cues full time. We put back the majority of our money to buy supplies so we can keep building cues. Like Blue said. " WE " do help out each other when ever possible! Could you imagine if this was the old days??? When know one ever shared any info at all!. I remember those days all to well!

Dont take this as any kind of bashing! Because it's not! What I will suggest to you is to go ahead and spend the $14 and buy it from tiger. Bite the bullet like we do. I will also suggest dont turn a hobby into a job. You dont know what your getting into! Its a very ruthless and un-forgiving way to make a living! You dont want to spend $14. on a wrap. Build a cue... Have hundreds of dollars in it . Then when your making the last pass on it have anything go wrong and the cue is wasted!!! Talk about hurt your pocket. Even worse, it hurts my heart. Not to mention the person your building the cue for. try to explain that to a customer.. not fun at all. Its only happened a couple times in 18 years thank god!!

How ever I will tell you this.

I LOVE IT! And I wouldnt change it for anything!!

Since saving is very important to you at this point, just get some scrap leather from somewhere and make your own wrap material to practice on.
Just make things and make mistakes on scrap what ever you can get your hands on.
You are better off spending 4 hours in the workshop than 2 hours on the internet.
There is a reason why apprenticeships in trades are 8000 hours or more.
 
Even tho he is a student, I bet he is having a good sleep right about now.

I picked up 2 shafts at the hall tonight. Guess what I'm doing at this time other than typing.

The funny thing is, both of those re tips and shaft cleans are free. I was helping out a team that had a tourney to make a little extra to go to BCA Vegas.

I donated a couple of re tips and shaft cleans for their raffle.

They get Ultra Skins.

And guess what, they don't have bad attitudes.

What you guys said about practicing on scrap leather is very true. I have been working with lace leather from Michael's for a while now. The problem that I am having is the finish. I can't get the leather to be nice and shiny like the tiger one because this is Swede and and don't think tiger is swede. But in terms of execution and install I think I am ready for some real stack.

I will just probably buckle down and buy some stack and see what happens.

And blue hog if you would of went to college you would probable know that sleep is very important in order to have a good study day so yes I was sleeping at that time, and snoring too.
 
Tiger install

About the ablility to get the desired finish, I am wondering if you have watched the Tiger DVD on the installation of the product.

I watched it about 5 times before my first install. But then again I did use the install kit offered by one of the larger materials suppliers. My first stack wrap came out perfect. It took about 3 hours total. Gotten faster one cue at a time.
 
What about that guy that offered you a wrap and mentioned to me that you basically were very rude to him.
Care to explain that one.

I was rude? I guess you fellow think that I am a fool to over pay for his "fresh" stack for 2 the price cue components sells it for. Man blue hog I was under the impression you just had episodes but it seems to be constant with you.

First of all, your probably still on break, as most schools don't start until next tuesday, so if you were sleeping, it wasn't due to a good study habit. Secondly, Maybe if you had to pay what we have to pay,...you'll stop whining and pay attention to what you are doing. You want to learn, then do it and live with the results, then study them and then try again. Stop asking people for what basicaly amounts to handouts! No one will buy a supply item at $15 and sell it at $7 to you just because you're a student crying poor. Our supply costs are too much to sell to a cheap azz like you at a loss. It would be different if you didn't act like you should be entitled to this like you do. I have done my best to help people here, and most of it has been done quietly, out of the spotlight, as others have done for me over the years. The people I have helped were people that didn't demand it like you do. You come across as it it OWED to you because you joined here. NEWS FLASH: NOTHING IS OWED TO YOU!!!
If you want to learn, then do as everyone else does, and try it on your OWN, with your OWN MONEY. You will never learn anything of value if it doesn't cost you something. Stop being a cheap azz douche and spend the money to LEARN. Are you here in this country on a student visa? Are you on USA financial aid????? Or paying the college experience all on your own? My bet is someone is paying the heavy load for you. If not, and you are paying your own way, then you can afford $14 per cue for a stack wrap that you will then charge to your friends....as we all know you will anyway, even if the wrap was given to you for free.
Sorry if you feel this is to harsh, but REALLY dude, stop being a free loader cheap azz and putting down good people that have done good things here. They tried to help you at the beginning with good solid advice and you were a douche to them. They are put off by your selfish demands and comments.
Quite frankly, most towns and cities have ordinances banning your type of panhandling behavior.
