No, I am not his backer. But I would love to put him up against Niels playing nine ball, ten ball, 14.1 and what the hell, say a set of one pocket. Maybe even a set on a bar box. I never questioned Neils ability at all, in fact I think he plays better than Chamat, but so does Corey. So, if u wanna talk smack about Corey and his break, put up or shut up.berry said:

definately all these players are in the ELITE of pro pool including neils.so that said ANYONE of these could beat ANYONE at any given time.so its really not fair to say who is ranked higher than anyone else.Pugh said:

Its not a lack of respect at all. Its just the fact that some of us believe there are a handful of better players out there. Sure anyone can beat anyone, but who is going to beat the other on more consistantly? I would rank niels higher than last years champion if that means anything

Allthough i'm a big fan of Alex Lely and Nick van den Berg, because of their talent in handling the balls like it is a very very easy game! The same might be said of corey's game! I allways would shit my pence if those guys have to play a training beast and emotional player like Niels Feijen! I backed Nelis ( like we call him here) at a ringevent ones and he gained the money for me! Anyone who wants to be a backer of Niels has a good change in winning when they play 9 ball, 10-ball or straight pool! As a matter of fact.... who wants to make a bet... I will back him anytime against any player (except against Alex and Line because they are my proteges). Place in the World for Niels right now.... uhm 9th!

Funny story about Corey and his break. At this years Mosconi Cup Archer played Souquet in one of the last matches and he did the soft break. In a rack he did it sooo soft that we were all surprized the q-ball made it to the rack (but wing ball went down) somebody in the audiance shouted "nice break Corey". We all had a good laugh. (including Corey)

But Sander Tot? John Schimdt? Corey?
So you wouldn't place Wu in the top 20, after he won the WPC in 9 and 8 ball, ranked top 3 in the Taiwanese tour in the past 2 years, finished final 8 in this past WPC? I don't see the logic here...

I think most long standing European players have good self discipline, and that is why they are often in the top ranks of big tournaments. They practice, and seem to display more of a professional attitude than most
American players.
This structured attitude yields rewards for them in the big tournaments, and makes them real good competitors.
In the Niels-Corey matchup, I would have to go with Corey, mainly because
Corey is much more creative than Niels, all other things equal.

Corey has worked on the soft break until he perfected it. Rules have been changed because he figured out how to play almost perfect using that break. The first time I met Corey he rubbed me the wrong way but after spending a little time around him I realize he is almost a genius in his thought process about pool. Reminds me of how "Rain Man" was with numbers. Corey showed me something neat with his soft break he would let me rack and before breaking he would tell me what pocket each ball would go in. His layouts were the same except the order of the rack deemed what pocket he is shooting at. The expert on both Neils and Corey's game would be AZ's own Al-Fahl he is very close to both players. Niels was here for a couple of days in new york and he seems like a really kool dude.. Looks mean but I think thats because you cant see his eyebrows lol.
But i would put niels around the top 20 also. Its just there is so many killers out there and i just think the top 10 is filled. top 20 has to make room for him!
