I voted "i've tried glove but prefer playing in the nude," but actually, I use FingerSlides. And, I don't wear them all the time, either. If it's not humid and I'm not having a sweat problem, I just play without them. They come in handy when it's really hot/humid, or I'm having an issue with hyperhidrosis.

I have played in the nude actually (in my house of course)

You still missed one category, I dont use a glove because "I" think they look silly

I normally don't play with one, but I did in my earlier days when I played in really humid places and I still carry one in my case (because you never know what might happen)

Depends on the environment really. I don't normally play with a glove, but I own a few, and use them when I need to.

Need to add:

I don't normally play with a glove, but when I do, I prefer SureShot. :D

Screw it! I use a glove most of the time and I don't give a fat rat's ass if anybody thinks I'm a reverse Michael Jackson or not :D. Besides that, the list of pros that use one seems to get longer and longer every year. Even everybody's favorite player to nut-hug, SVB, wears one.

A glove just goes so nice with my "upside-down" glasses ;)!!!

Depends on the room environment. Usually in the winter time I don't have to wear a glove, but during the summer some of the places I play get pretty humid and I love wearing one then.

I wear one at home almost all the time to keep my cloth cleaner.

The Glove

I had a Pro ask me at one tournament''why do you wear that thing''?
I responded''what is the game of pool based on''?
He didn't quite understand what I was getting at so I told him
that every angle of billiards in general is based on one thing''Consistency".
I preceded to tell him that it doesn't matter what the conditions are
like in the room,I get a nice smooth stroke every time without the cue
sticking to my hand and impeding my stroke.
Some players like powder but I find it gums up my shaft and starts having
a reverse effect.I'm also very picky and if I'm not wearing a glove I can
detect every little tiny ding or dirt on the shaft.
The Pro thought my answer made sense but couldn't wrap his head
around how it looks.
I told him''take a look around the poolroom at most of these guys and
tell me if a pool glove on there hand could make them look any worse''

I wonder if I switched to wearing a glove, got a LD laminated shaft, layered tip, some kamui chalk, used an aiming system, and drank Hank's water if I would never lose again?

I think I'll keep my ivory ferrules, triangle tip, solid maple shafts, no glove, mater chalk, and drink tap water.

Your choice for all of those, but don't drink the tap water, you'll get worms:smile:

Keeps my shafts ultra clean and my stroke always feels silky smooth. So yes, I always wear one.

FingerSlides a.k.a. Fingers' Glove!!

Of course I use my own product!!

FingerSlides for sure!

I agree with most posters that consistence is a huge factor in Pool.

how much are these? are these the same as the ones on ebay?? for 16 bucks? guess im asking if customized price and process is much different?

I tried a glove and like it and played with one, but then on day at practice i went without and starting pocketing balls better. Thinking it was playing without the glove was making me pocket whitey better i never went back (yea i know it is silly but pool is a head game as much as a game of skill).
I keep the shaft clean and never have a problem. I do keep a glove in my bag mainly in case i happen to have a cut on my hand and need to bandage one of my fingers.

I keep a glove in my case for playing in humid conditions, but my preference is for properly air conditioned pool halls and the feel and convenience of playing without a glove.

I've never tried a glove. I can only think of a time or two I might have used one and those were extreme humid conditions. I doubt I will experience those conditions again so no glove for me. Besides I don't mind a little drag if its a little humid, no big deal.

With a glove. My hands get super sweaty when I get nervous or cold. It's freezing cold at the pool hall usually and I get nervous when I play. :o
