NEW Bulletproof Synthetic Playing Tips.

I've had my Recoil green hard tip on about a week now and I keep surprising myself at how well it shoots despite the "break" sound (which I'm getting used to). I have it on a 12.4mm Revo shaft and the sound is louder than if it was mounted on a wood shaft. Speaking of breaking, I haven't used my BK Rush break cue since installing the Recoil. I've been breaking 8 and 9 ball racks like crazy with the Recoil and that tip seems like it's on for good. I used the same 2P-10 glue and accelerator that BB uses (bought from Amazon) but I didn't score the face of the ferrule, and that tip seems like it is on for good. I just used 150 sandpaper. Another thing I like about this tip is the way it holds chalk. I use the Taom V-10 and I only chalk once a rack, not because I'm cheap, but because it lasts (and keeps my table clean).
You do need a lathe of some sort in order to do the final trim with a razor at speed. Any cue smith who installs tips can mount these with ease. I tried mounting my red medium by hand and ruined it. I was experimenting as I knew I was going to go with the harder green tip after reading the reviews.
Thanks for your valuable feedback! We honestly would not have launched this product to the public if it didn't live up to ALL of the claims we advertise. After breaking with it for a week or more have you had to re-shape or trim any mushroom? (I already know the answer...I just want it posted for the sceptics HAHA)

"...have you had to re-shape or trim any mushroom?" No, and I break hard. I was more concerned with the tip flying off but that 2P-10 glue and accelerator seem to be doing the trick. Last night 2 people who know me saw me playing with my cue (9 ball night) and asked me if I wanted to sell my BK Rush. LOL

@Bulletproof Billiards: If the soft will make it a bit more difficult do draw and the hard will make draws become easier/better: Will then the RECOIL medium behave ~ the same like a good leather tip at applying draw??

By the way: I have the bulletproof breaktip on my break cue and on my jump cue, and both are perfect to me. At the break cue I trimmed it down pretty much in order to absorb a minimum on energy, but this is related to that I'm not able to apply so much speed onto the cuestick as many others can do. Even playing with this break tip is easily possible, just the sound is pretty badass to me.

I already asked doubledave cues if they can get me a medium and a hard, medium for my playing shaft and the hard for a club member who is the "leather dead" - due to his playing style all hard tip lastet only a couple of months until they were through. I'm really curious about your RECOIL tips.

I got a free blue tip today and played a bit after installed. I’m impressed initially but I need more time with it. I wanted to try a hard but not at $30 a pop. It does mushroom but can be trimmed when this happens. After the trim it held shape so we’ll see what happens in the future.

I finally put the hard tip on my old car trunk Meucci.

It plays pretty damn well! It hits softer than I would've expected all things considered.

I don't know that I see extreme amounts of spin that has been reported by others, but it's completely satisfactory compared to a normal premium layered tip.

Absolutely perfect for my intended use of leaving it in the trunk of the car, and I could absolutely recommend it just about anybody to at least give it a try.

I think it's especially perfect for newer or less attentive players who either don't know how, or don't want to be bothered with routine tip maintenance…

Pretty damn cool...
I received mine Saturday, put it on that night and ran it thru it's paces Sunday.
Impressive!! Exactly what I've been looking for. I prefer a hard tip.
The green (Hard) is unforgiving. Cue ball goes where you hit it, so... Holds chalk better than any tip I've owned. I installed this one by hand. Spent almost 2 hours shaping it w 400 grit!! These are Hard!!!
Has a unique sound on hit, but not unpleasant or tink-y. Good feedback down the kielwood shaft I mounted it on. Didn't mushroom or change shape and no glazing!!! Good spin w no problems. Draws well. I am very happy with this tip.
I will mount a soft and a medium this weekend and post my findings the following week.
I'm guessing the softer tips are more forgiving shot wise.

A couple weeks after removing the mushroom. Still holing up against the bar room abuse.
I played with it last night with no problems.

You can use discount code RECOIL20 to get 20% off but keep in mind a Kamui Clear or Zan Hybrid Max are around $30 but ours will not wear out.

Thanks for your feedback! We really appreciate everyone taking the time to post about these tips! Everyone who plays with these says they grip and hold chalk better than leather. That was our goal when developing these tips. The fact that they don't mushroom, glaze, flatten or harden sounds too good to be true... but it IS true!

Ok, A few days later and 100 racks. I do like the soft tip, even coming from using a hard forever. Upon my dumb comment on price, I did fail to consider the competitions price on tips. If they last as long or longer than _____ Tip maker, then its a win. The feel is nice and airy like, but shoots long shots extremely well, or at least felt that way. English was the same, draw seems a bit less, but it could be me also. Now to try a break tip!

Try the Medium or Hard. They transfer more energy to the cueball and you can draw farther with less effort

As previously mentioned, mounted by hand. After several days of hard playing, looks exactly the same as when I installed it. Takes chalk better than any tip I've played with.
The side won't burnish bcuz I used sandpaper instead of a sharp blade like it recommends in the video tutorial, but that's ok. It's the hit I like.
I'll use a blade on the next hand mount and leave well enuf alone.

why not using a tip pad between ferrule an tip? At some super low deflection shafts like the Mezz Expro, Z2 or Z3 or IQ, I would always reommend using a tip pad in order to protect the ferrule from overstress

Just got my blue soft in. Can you use a ferrule tip pad (fiber or acrilic) with these on the installation? Thanks.
I wouldn't. Not w a soft tip. If you prefer pads, fine, but unless you need one to protect the ferrule/shaft, no need. It dampens the hit imo. On an already soft tip??
You ain't gonna feel a thing.

Got the medium mounted and ready to test hit.
I do my tips by hand and they don't look as nice as lathe mounted, but ala it hits well, who cares. 😂
