I just got this full splice John Davis blank conversion done by Alex Brick. This is my first Davis blank cue, but it won't be my last. I love the craftsmanship in this cue. What do you think?

Macassar Ebony with Bloodwood points, 4 veneers, nat/blk/red/blk

I'm talking to Mr. Davis myself Joe, how could anyone not want one of those. I'm aiming for Alves/Bem myself, but yours also looks very nice.

Sweet looking cue. How does it play?

Doc,
Balance is great. I have not chalked either shaft, but I dry hit a few balls last night. Very solid hit like you would expect from a full-splice cue. It would be very easy to change over to this cue as a daily player.

Very nice!
I will have to get me a blank or two.

Anyone have any idea of the wait time for a blank these days?

This is a beautiful cue! Makes my heart pound, as my John Davis cue should be coming any day now. Mine is tulipwood into gaboon, will post photos when it arrives. Myron, you should give John a call, as he may have some blanks already made, depending on what wood combos and veneers you want. (773) 545-2170.

Not many folks from NM with a BB so I will have to assume you are one of the few in the owners gallery on the BB page.

I will give John a call to see about a blank and find the cue maker who can fit me into their busy schedule to make me a simple hoppe playing cue with maybe inlays in the points.

Thanks for the info and greenies are coming your way.

Could you tell me what Alex Brick charges for a conversion like yours?

His pins look similar to Kersenbrock's. Are they? How is the hit??

How does one reach Mr. Brick and how long of a wait was it??

I've got two JD blanks with Sailor and Ed Young and I have another that Corsair finished. Nice blanks.

Mine is the one on the bottom.

Dennis cue looked great in person. Very nice looking blank and all points lined up real nice. I just bought the Brick from Gregg Howard today and am looking forward to the hit it should produce with the Kersenbrock tapered shafts. Deacon

I just picked up a sweet one too!

It was converted by Jerry Rauenzahn. I talked with Jerry before I bought it. He told me he didn't want to do the another conversion but he did one last one.
Then he said he wanted to pick the blank appart but it was the best JD blank he had seen yet! To top it off the shafts were supplied by JD and he thought they were as sweet as it gets. This from a guy that has been building for well over 30 years. He told me they had to have been laying around Johns shop for years!
Jerry went on to say the cue is the only 1/2 joint 3/8-10 pn he has done!
After seeing yours, Joe, I can't wait to see mine.
I know I will never hit a ball with it but after talking with Jerry I figured WTF!!
Sweet cue Joe! Do like me and keep it for a while!
Nick :)

Deacon: If you come up to Red Shoes, let me see your new JD and I'll let you see my Kersenbrock.

p.s. I got that other shaft back from Ed
