new diamond tables: easier?

No way that 9 goes in on my diamonized's GC II.:D
I saw a 5-ball go in too hitting the tip.

I'm talking about Archer's shot and not cheating the pocket in general. That shot was hitted poorly not "poor". I say that because Johnny clearly wanted to play the 10 ball in the side but because he hitted the 9 ball too fully he come up short and he had to cut the 10 ball much more than he wanted . He hitted that shot badly he wasn't trying to cheat the pocket, he missed the shot and the generosity of the pocket saved him.

I wasn't referring to Archer's shot, just mentioning that skill takes advantage of what's available. Reducing the repertoire doesn't necessarily equal better pool.

Archer made the shot. It doesn't matter if it contacted several rails as long as he limited the contact to a range that would still drop the ball.

On a Diamond a ball shot from the intersection of the first two diamonds on one end of the table will go in the corner pocket if you hit inside the first diamond on the long rail on the other end.

yes you are right, climate conditions changes the way a table plays but that shot shouldn't go in ANY condition, even the "easier". I'm not saying to make the pockets like snooker, but that shot was hitted pretty firm, 3-4 inches away from the pocket and with a severe angle.

I sometimes wobble balls in the pocket on purpose to annoy my opponent. :)
