New EP pics, gotta love those Hoppe cues!

Those really are 2 nice looking cues and great pictures too. If I could do pictures like that I would put all of my cues up for sale.

If I were starting a collection today,I would buy nothing but Hoppe style cues.My first cue back in the 50s was a nice Willie Hoppe with the ivory ring, big fat butt,my first ebony cue with a smaller butt was a Rambo or Rambro,I got tons of compliments with that one..I made lunch money renting that one to players with big games.

My Balabushka that I ordered from George was a Hoppe style,no inlays. When I came back to the game in the mid 80s no one liked Hoppe style cues,I had to pay in advance to get the cuemakers to make them. Now they are not only classic ,but popular again.

My Mottey cue with boxes and over 100 ivory piano keys and Violins inlaid in the rear has(you guessed it) a Hoppe ring.I have ordered 2 Plain Hoppe ring cues from Tim Scruggs,Mike Cochran,1 is rosewood,1 is ebony .When I made the Deano cue ,guess what butt was on each one?

But ,I digress, the point of this thread is the beautiful Pruitt cues before us,I like them both and I really like the rings on each cue?

thanks for your pictures,

Dean

I wish there were more sunny days in MI to see these kinds of gems more often - I am sure you have more!

Ed's work is something that is scarcely parallelled by other makers - it is John Showman that first comes to mind - and such attention always finds its understanding demand.
It is a pleasure to see how Ed is coming up with new designs and how he is willing to think 'out of the box' - these new Hoppe cues and his Full Splice cues are just fantastic and appear to be a great hit.

Thank you for sharing,
