New IPT Video ... On The Site

Well done Tanner, I was also going to post this promo link here in the main forum as this is something speeeecial that everyone must see!

This is a major breakthrough for the game. Very appealing and professional production.

Does anyone know what network is going to carry this yet?. Will it be available in Canada, say on TSN?.

they are still shopping it around to the networks. i believe they will not put it on cbs or abc, nor nbc, because of cost, however, i believe it will not be lost to some crappy station no one ever watches. i think it will be on vh-1 or A&E or some high profile cable station we all know of.

Thanks Bernie, I thought that was the case. At the end of the video it says, "Coming in March"... and not, "Coming to CBS in March" like it would if they'd already signed a distrubution deal. :)

The production value looks great, the video is crystal clear and the lighting is far better than 99% of the other televised billiard shows I've seen over the years. I like the scantily clad girls as well, really adds to that vegas flavoring. So is that where the show is filmed, Vegas?.

I can't wait, I only hope that I get it here in Canada. If not I know there'll be some enterprising businessman with the DVD recorder at the ready, selling the show's bootlegs on ebay for a hefty profit.:)

I expect it will be available in Canada, but it will probably be on rogers sportsnet, they carey alot of pool.

I wouldn't be surprised if Spike tv pick it up either.

Jack Justis's cue case is everywhere in this video, good for Jack!

I can't wait to buy the DVD, it is making history! The players all look really sharp, and colorful. I love the marketing behind this!

Thank you for the link, Tanner.:)

Most of the footage is from the Orlando KOH event but they spliced in a couple of scenes from the Las Vegas event where Mike played Loree Jon Jones.

Earl will be a god send to the producers. Along with Ronnie O'Sullovan. Those two should provide enough entertaining material for an entire season.

Wow, it looks great and appears to be a promotion aimed at distributors. I really like the interviews and behind the scenes "drama", much more in line with the 'reality' trend which makes for a more compelling show. I can also understand why they chose 8 Ball, a far more universal recognition factor...smart.
Much more interesting than the sterile, point and shoot coverage we see on espn. I can see A&E or the Travel Channel picking it up.

Did anyone catch the botched trick shot 2:28 into the program?

Two striped balls were close to the pockets at the end rail, and the 8 ball was in between the two stripes just off the end rail. I believe the trick was to hit one of the stripes into the pocket with extreme follow such that the CB would rebound off the end rail and curve around the 8 to pocket the other stripe. However, the CB instead ended up hitting the 8 and combo-ing the other stripe.

I just thought it was funny, cuz it surely didn't look right the first time I saw it. :p

Otherwise...it was an awesome video. :)

Surely this promo vid draws attention ! Very professional job. Aaaaand, including vintage Earl

I mean, it is beyond phenomenal, IMHO, and this is only the promo/preview of what's to come.

I can't wait to view it once more on a high-speed and/or DSL line. On my gerbil-driven dial-up computer at home, it took 2 hours to view, with audio/video breaks every 3 to 4 seconds, sounding like this:

erk...[3-second audio/video pause]...vizt...[3-second audio/video pause]...trox...[3-second audio/video pause]...wheef...[3-second audio/video pause]...fwat...[3-second audio/video pause]

AND I still enjoyed it! I am looking forward to hearing the audio portion for sure! :p
