Only if you can show them in a video of yourself using the chalk and miscuing.
You know that I am only joking, right John.

You're not buying what? The fact that Kamui must have dumped a butt load of cash to into production facilities before even producing their first piece of chalk?
That is just an excuse and has ZERO to do with what they charge for it.
When breaking into an emerging market, you can do that. There is added expense to breaking into an established market and you have to adjust for that, it usually equates to an increased ROI timeline...
The only thing that drives price is demand and supply.
Kamui has risked their success on a lower demand with an unbelievably high price compared to the replacement alternatives.
They believe they can sell enough at higher prices to make the chalk profitable and this wouldn't even BEGIN to be justified by production facilities.
Lower demand requires LESS production facilities, not more...

They could probably start producing a Kamui chalk knock off relatively cheap if they wanted to.
Thats not to mention that Black King Tips are in the right position to take over the tip market.
They are getting rave reviews right now. This time next year, every one will be using a Black King Tip and Kamui will be eating dust. Chalk Dust.
Someone will come up with a comparable formula for lip stick chalk and John Bertone will be looking for a job.
