New Membership Exclusivity

I got and AZB case patch in lieu of my Hush Harley.

I just stuck it on my case 5 minutes ago.

I think you might loose people. and it becomes a "special people" section

Exactly why I have always been pretty much a Lone wolf and don't join exclusive clubs.

I went Gold to support AZB. With Gold, you already receive several extras and features that are not available to non Gold members.

Still waiting for my case patch tho. Ooops, I forgot, I already have one.

Rack Em Up was nice enuff to send me one of his extras.

Why does there always have to be something extra to sweeten the pot. Be happy with what you have instead of being Unhappy for what you don't have.

ceodynamo........Buddy, you are the man........Certainly the type of person that supports AZ's free website with his patronage & checkbook.
It's really cool of you to step forth and take immediate action.......a lesson that others could and "should" learn from in my opinion.
And you still haven't sold or bought anything yet on the Forum so aside from informational or entertainment value, you've never monetarily
benefited from AZ but nonetheless, recognize the merits for becoming a Gold Member and take immediate action as soon as you hear how.

Hey pal, I appreciate and admire what you did......you not only talk it but you really do walk it......right down the line. I'm on the exclusive list
of 30 AZers that can order brand new sets of Cyclop pool balls from Diamonds for $150 a set. The list is closed and no idea if this deal will
happen again or when. I'll tell you what I'll do for you if interested.

Anyway, I can order up to two sets of new Cyclop pool balls and my intention was to only buy one set. We're unknown to each other so thinking
of you as a close friend seems a little frivolous. But if you want to purchase a brand new set of Cyclop pool balls in either color scheme (traditional
or skittles), I'll buy two sets and you'd only incur the cost of shipping the set from Fresno, CA (93711) to your zip code plus 50% of my cost to get
two sets shipped to my address in California. The sets cost $150 plus shipping which Cody at Diamonds will confirm before shipping.

And I tell ya what, I'll do you one even better.......if you'd prefer to own a set of Centennial Pool balls instead of the Cyclop set, which I'm only
buying to prove a point to myself that Brunswick Centennial Pool Balls superior in quality, then I'll sell you my previously played set of Brunswick
Centennials and I'll polish them in my Ballstar machine before shipping the set in the original Red & Black Centennial Box and I'd sell them to you
for $165 plus shipping. I have photos of the two sets.....brand new and used.....on a pool table and you can see it's hard to discern any difference.
If you PM your e-mail address, I could send you the photos. I'm not looking to sell my set of Centennial pool balls and frankly, prefer that you'd take
me up on the offer of the Cyclop set if you did anything at all. I just wanted to show my appreciation and admiration over what you just did.

Frankly, you just figuratively threw the gauntlet at the feet of a lot of AZers that have conducted business here for free for years and feel no compunction
to become a Gold Member. Obviously, to each their own but I like your "each" approach better than some others. You just earned a standing ovation in
my book, if that matters. In any event, you actions are highly laudable and deserve public praise............Cudos!

Lou.....you may have a point there buddy but nonetheless, it would still be great if down the road
you reconsidered your position and decided to sign up.......it's always available......Thanks for your bump.

Firstly, I 100% agree we should all support this site that we all love. Be it Gold membership or what not. I'll be upgrading to Gold soon myself. With that being said my personal opinion is while an " exclusive " club would prob increase revenue by $x I believe there would be a fair amount of folks that would be turned off by the idea and may not use the site as frequently for various reasons. As in all sales its in the #'s. More volume ( customer traffic ) = increased sales. Also targeting your clientele demographics can be extremely useful in certain fields I dont believe it's a great idea in the pool world. We are not talking $200,000 Rolls or million dollar houses. If someone usually plays with a couple hundred dollar cue but is window shopping and sees a 3k they fall in love with they may not be able to purchase it right away but they sure could save up for a few months and buy it then or another cue. Don't forget the informational value for everyone to be able to see / learn what's out there.
My suggestion : now I truly have not crunched any #'s nor put a whole lot of time thinking about this so yall can adjust the figures up or down but you should get the idea.
1) Platinum or "Commercial"membership - this could include a couple prerequisites. One would be anyone that lists say 5 or more items for sale within a 12 month period. Second would be anyone with any type of advertisement, email or website in their signature of every post. ( not to include you tube vids for enjoyment - you know what im saying though. The cost of these memberships could be like say $10 a month charged up front for a year. Honestly guys $120 really is not that much money and almost nothing if u subtract the cost of what ur already paying for gold. Lastly everything else aside Id love an AZB patch or something for my case or something:) Just my 2 cents that ain't worth a penny.

Please don't simply react to my use of the term "shit" ....substitute "stuff" or "merchandise" or some other suitable word that's less offensive......my point was if that's your hot button, fine. It obviously must be or you would have become a paid member by this point in time. There are bound to be others that feel as you do but I'm hoping there are more that feel like me.

You made it clear paying for a Gold membership is something you do not concur with, and that's fine. If merchandise is what it takes, let other AZers voice agreement and post supportive replies about adding this feature as a stand alone offer, or including it with Gold Memberships. Maybe the Mods will pick up on it and bring it to management.

So with the purchase of a gold membership I would get a bigger avatar (which i don't have anyway) extra PM space (as if 150 isn't enough) v cash (which has zero value) and I am eligible for raffles. I am just looking at this from a value stand point and there is not one small tangible thing included, or should I just feel obligated since I have bought, sold, and traded a few items on here over an almost 10 yr period assuming I always made a profit with items I sold which was not the case. Why are you so upset at "non gold members" Why are you so set on a "club" mentality for AZ?

They only had cheap domestic beer there buddy, I hold you in a much higher regard than to purchase you a mere bud light...:p

Say what you might about this thread but........"Nothing ventured, nothing gained."........Nonetheless, it contributed to getting a new Gold Member.
Congratulations to ceodynamo......and there are more AZers out there waiting to become Gold. Just imagine how much more could be accomplished
when Jerry has a larger recurring revenue base.

Again, thanks for becoming a new Gold Member ceodynamo......hope you win next month's free drawing that's only available to Gold Members.

So I'm guessing that this new members only area will be advertising free.
I have spent several thousand dollars with the advertisers on this site over the years. This is how I support the site.
I just don't see the value of a members only area.

Andy

Maybe they ought to have a members only area for silver members too. Then they could have drawings for silver members only as well..

Okay, if a Gold Members Only Section isn't of appeal or interest, anyone got any better notions on how to increase the number of Gold Memberships?
Price is already stupidly affordable for the vast majority of AZers at less than 10 cents per day.....it just sounds like more when you lay out $34.95 all at once.

Hey, what about a Gold membership plan for $40.00 and it's billed quarterly at $10.00 or equivalently speaking less than eleven ($0.11) per day.
Come on pundits.....instead of poking me in the eye about my idea, get off your fat behinds and come up with a better idea.

In the long run, the Forum will be able to improve and accomplish more if the recurring revenue base provides a sufficient, steady stream of income to rely upon
during any calendar year.......annual memberships are the answer and I betcha tons of AZers lost more money on the Stupid Bowl than the price of a annual Gold Membership.

For the record my behind is not fat...now I'll admit I have a slight beer gut but my behind is far from fat.

What for? Silver members don't contribute the same as Gold members.

Sure they do, their opinions are worth just as much as anyone else! Of course they could just give out some little trinkets or perhaps an old piece of Kamui chalk, LOL..:grin-square:
