That Cue Looks Awesome. Mike Does Some Really Nice Work On These Traditional Cues

Chris, I love the look of the BR. The cue look's very nice. I bet it play and sound very nice too.

Hey Chris, Thanks for the plug. What a beautiful Webb cue. The veneer combo looks real right for that cue. Some people don't like it when black is on the outside with a dark wood, but I like it and believe it helps give definition to the contrast between points/forearm wood. Mike's proportions of the ivory ring and black phenolic have a very pleasing look. Lots of cuemakers make the black phenolic way too fat or the ivory too thin, IMO!

is the orange veneer on the right side skinnier that the one on the left side or is it just the picture making it look that way?i have seen that happen before when the cuemaker's indexer is off.nice looking cue by the way.

I think so,
Another way to judge thickness on veneers because it doesn't take much to be off, is the registration or height if you wish from point to point, veneer to veneer.

no, the cue photo was taken in a scanner.
round objects don't mesh with a flat scanner too well.....but i tried.
the cue couldn't be more perfect.

i figured it was the picture.nice to see some good Brazilain.most cues i see these days are the light brown Brazilian.i had a couple of cues made out of the light brown colored stuff and i didn't like it.i feel like it is too dry(if that is possible) or secondary quality.i am no wood expert, but i do know the dark Brazilizn like in this cue is the good stuff.
