I built this cue for a friend. He left the design totally up to me. I chose the woods and design to match the player and am calling this cue "Elegant Cowboy Boots".

The hard maple handle has a mineral streak that runs right down the middle the entire length all the way through so it shows up on both sides. Usually, mineral isn't a cue maker's friend, but I embraced it with this blank. Along with the nice curl and dark inclusion like swirls here and there, it adds up to be a very unique piece of wood.

The bubinga is just as figured with a combination of waterfall and curl.

All of the metal is sterling silver. The ferrules are ivory, the rest of the white being juma. Here is a link to my web page where it is posted.

I love that you used wood that might typically not be ideal.

I have a violin bow with a knot in the middle. The maker said people hate working with knots, as they often just fall out in the middle of working the wood.

But if they make it to the end, its almost always stronger.

Very cool

That's a good looking cue with great wood to boot. The ringwork is good looking too!

another nice looking MVP cue.
I am sure that the cue will hit great too.

I love the curly maple in this cue and the ringwork is lovely to look at.

Keep the good stuff coming, Kelly. :)

Thanks for all the nice compliments guys! Much appreciated.

Kelly <eager for the post office to deliver it tomorrow>

its a bit plain on first sight, but i like how you let the wood do the talking, and the ringwork just.. damn ^^ very satisfying cue to look at, very nice
