If it is just the look they don't like you could take it down to like 3/8 and fit the new ferrule. I am guessing the ferrule that is on there is on a tenon of 5/16. What do you see when you take off the tip? Although there is no need to guess, the guy who made it will chime in soon I am sure.
Oh, like a Predator. Sounds like the outcome may be unpredictable as far as the hit. I hope the customer is open minded and won't hold you accountable if they don't like it afterward.It has a thin walled wooden ferrule on a tenon that measures .360" in diameter. In the center of that is a .250" diameter hole, filled with foam of some kind...JER
