A project that was started about 2.5 years ago finally finished up and arrived at my house today...Pete would have finished it long ago, but my schedule was about 2 years....

I first contacted Pete Ohman back in 2012 with the idea and some highly figured crotch walnut lumber I found in Missouri...
This stuff is VERY dark brown in person with the finish on it....

After a while, Pete turned the wood round and the project started taking off...

Excellent

That is my favorite Omen cue I have ever seen.

I like how his cues play, and you did an outstanding job in design, just outstanding.

I typically like very plain cues, you have quite abit more than I typically like but because it was so tastefully done, it doesn't seem "over the top." Most are "over the top" when most cues are that are designed by their owners IMO.

Congrats for both you.

Best of rolls,

Ken

Believe it or not, the wood choices were inspired by my wife's jewelry box.... Ever since I laid eyes on it, I just loved the contrast of the dark walnut with the brightness of the maple with the red accents...

This one was supposed to just be a player, but kind of morphed into something different...I really debated about putting points in this one because of the wild grain of the walnut...Originally asked Pete about some burl maple for the points, but he suggested we go to quilt...What a great suggestion as it really made a difference and made the whole thing really pop...

that cue is perfection. congrats, hope it feels to you as good as it looks.

Pete Ohman builds some incredible cues. Every one I have ever owned has been a great playing cue. I think these Omens represent some of the best cue for the $$ out there today.

Wanted to post about your Omen the other day, but
was in a rush. As stated before, that is the nicest Omen
that I've seen. Pete's cues play great and that wood
combo and design are the nuts. Great cue, congrats.
