Hello! I’m new here and new to billiards too but I enjoy it and am looking at a 1972 Brunswick Wellington CI-1 tournament table with ball return. I have attached pics. Can anyone help me with what it’s worth? I want to buy it but have no idea what to offer. Any help is much appreciated!
Update he wants $2,500 for it.

Lower end old Brunswick. You are going to pay more $ to have it moved and set back up than what the table is worth, so I wouldn’t take it unless it was for a short term rental house or for kids.

For moving AND setup? I wouldn't do it for $600 and I'm just a hobbyist. Of course in my younger days I might have. But $600 won't pay for the pain I would experience!
I got mine disassembled, delivered, and installed for $450. That table may be a bit more work to put together, but not that much. It took 2 guys about an hour and a half to install it.

I have barely more than 2500 in my blue table including new cloth...and shipping from 5 states away. I paid someone to wrap the cushions but did the rest of the setup myself. The green one I had previously was $500 from a bar that was closing.

As others have said, that table is a 500 item to a half way serious player. You can do better.

Yes, the owner is probably off a couple years on the purchase date.
Weird where did that year range come from?

If I were to make a ruling, I'd find both your source and the table owner incorrect.

I had a wellington that was at Quantico base for 5+ decades prior to my taking possession of it.

Maybe they recycled the name? That does not sound like something that would be though...

First I want to compliment you. You took good pictures and did a good job communicating. Bearing in mind that I am far from expert on Brunswick home tables I have been in a pool hall or two over the years, perhaps hundreds, my math depends on who I am talking to.

Anyway, I have never seen this table in a pool hall. Everything about it screams home table in decent condition. You need to contact Brunswick directly about the name. Last I knew there was a guy there that was an encyclopedia when it came to older stuff. He can tell you if Brunswick ever hung the Wellington name on a table like this. Brunswick was THE TABLE for a long time and counterfeit Brunswick tables are far from unknown. Understand I am not accusing this seller. Even if it is counterfeit it may have been sold over and over in good faith.

Check inside a pocket and see how thick the pocket and backer is. That might be a clue. If this is a Brunswick home table in this condition which is probably best case scenario, I wouldn't pay much if any over a thousand for it. If it is a counterfeit you need someone who knows tables to look at it before even giving a thousand.

If your pocketbook runs to $2500 tables I would walk away from this one. You can get some fine tables for $2500 and a little patience, sometimes a lot less. Better off to start with a quality commercial table and it will last you a lifetime. If you ever want to sell it you will lose very little, maybe even turn a profit!

The plastic, breakable corner caps/pieces shown in the photo (which usually are either broken, missing or have been replaced) just by themselves are a clear indication that this is a lower end Brunswick home model table, likely out of the 70s.

Chances are the cushion rubbers unless they’ve been replaced, will likely need replacing, so the owner is going to have well over $1000 alone in just breaking it down/moving/setting back up/new cushions and new cloth, if done by a professional.

With that being done, it might play decently, but for someone spoiled by playing on high-quality commercial tables, that table wouldn’t even be worth it if it was given to you. This table however would play just fine for pure recreational level playing purposes, and in that case it wouldn’t be necessary to get the cloth and cushions replaced, in my opinion.
