Predator P3 3-Cushion Billiard Cue - Golden Leopard Curly $1199

Available January 2013.

The Predator 3-Cushion P3 cue's accuracy and amazing feel will revolutionize your game ! It is constructed of 30 pieces with Leopard wood, Curly Maple, and a Golden oak stain.

It comes with one high-performance Predator 314-2 3C shaft that is more accurate than conventional shafts and generates more spin. You will see a real difference in accuracy on long shots with side spin. You don't need to compensate for the cue ball deflecting to the side, it goes where you are aiming. The Predator 3C shaft is a real revolution that will help you play better, whether you are new to the game or a confirmed player.

Additionally, among the Predator carom models, the Radial joint ones are really perfect for 3-Cushion and their testing shows that the lightweight aluminum improves the balance of the cue and avoids the feeling of excess weight around the joint area.

Torbjörn Blomdahl just won the Suwon World Cup using the Predator P3 Golden Leopard Curly !

Hi maldito,

P3 - GAME CHANGING TECHNOLOGY

You'll never see the game the same way again once you play with a P3 - the most forward-thinking cue Predator's ever made. The customizable weight cartridge system lets you fine tune P3 within a tenth of an ounce for a playing experience that's totally yours. Then there's the unprecedented 30-piece construction and dense Ash core for better straightness and the astonishingly solid feel that other players only dream about.

PHENOLIC JOINT - FOR BETTER FEEL AND LONGEVITY

The design of P3 eliminates traditional wooden joints in favor of Phenolic, one of the strongest materials on earth. So the P3 is stronger, straighter and more durable - and it'll stay that way for a long time to come.

30-PIECE CORE - FOR REVOLUTIONARY STIFFNESS AND FEEL

Once again, Predator leads the industry forward in a big way. Built in three distinct layers of alternating Hard Maple and Ash, the unprecedented 30-piece core maximizes stiffness and increases playability. You will hear the crisp, high-pitched sound of perfectly pure feedback.

CARTRIDGE SYSTEM - TO FINE-TUNE YOUR GAME WITH PRECISION

The customizable Uni-Loc® Weight Cartridge System allows you to fine-tune P3 within a tenth of an ounce, giving you up to 30 possible weight combinations, one of which is sure to be your perfect formula for destruction.

As you know, the conical design of a carom shaft handles the larger mass of a carom ball and variant english with speed.

The new Predator has a conical taper like other carom shafts but with more feel. But don't take my word for it. Ask the pros.

Hot Cue

Thanks for the info sounds great for only 1200.00. Please send me one as soon as possible so I can try it out first.

Sporting equipment is gradational.

I play on a 3C league and last week one of the players complained about completely missing the 2nd ball when using speed and english. He plays with a pool cue. I asked him why he plays caroms with a pool cue? He had no answer. I asked him how well he thinks he would do if he played tennis with a badminton rachet? Again no coherent answer. He asked me what the price of my cue was. I told him around $500. He was proud to tell me he payed $89 for his fiberglass pool cue.

What is the difference between his $89 cue and my $500 cue? Perhaps nothing. What is the difference between my $500 and a $1200 cue? Perhaps nothing.

So....the gradational price on one end at $89 and the other end of $1200 and its value (at a certain level) is arbitrary and subjective.

I agree with Steve that it's subjective and everyone has a right to their opinions. After having that said, the difference between a $500 and $1000 plus cue may be minimal, but the difference between a $89 cue and a "quality" cue is a lot, and I don't think there are any quality cues at less than $200. I tried playing 3-C with a pool cue, and it just felt wrong. Not impossible, just harder. I messed up my tip on my tiger LD shaft so I had to play with a pool cue or other carom cue for a few weeks now, and I must say, I think the tiger cue made a big difference. Once I save some money I'm gonna visit Steve's website for another cue.

A picture is worth a thousand words.
