New Pierce Custom Cue - Titlist Conversion - Custom Made From Titlist!

I just got around to finally posting the finalized pictures of my new Pierce Custom Cues Titlist Conversion (or Custom Made from Titlist for those who prefer it to be described as such...)!

I haven't been able to put this down since I received it...everyone always describes cues as "monster hitters" and that gets old hearing that...so, I'll say this cue "plows through the cueball like a rocket-sled on greased rails"!!!

I asked Jim to make the cue somewhere between 19oz and 19.5oz - so he made it 19.25 exactly (B=15.49oz/S=3.76oz - both shafts the same and 12.77mm). Flat-faced ivory joint with a 3/8x10 pin.

This is one "stiff" hitting cue! Two bowling alley wood shafts and I've been playing with the darker of the two shafts...I really like the way it "compliments" the brown in the cue and visually, I really like sighting down the darker shaft when over a shot...

Jim has a real talent for converting these old cues. He's done several for me and the all tuned out great. He has a Oak Titlelist that he's doing for me now, can't wait to see how that one turns out. You got yourself a winner there guy hang on to it and make a few bucks with it. LOL

To be quite honest, I can't tell you what the actual turn-around time was on this cue. I was talking to Jim on the phone about another cue a little while back and we started talking about titlists. He said he had one started that he was doing for himself...after sending me some pictures of the in-process, I knew I wanted the cue. So, with a little "prodding", I convinced him to cough it up to me and finish it up to my specs...

I've worked with Jim on several cue projects and there has been a TREMENDOUS amount of communication between the two of us...and quite honestly, it's usually him calling me with updates!

I was happy...well, more than happy with both the finished look as well as the "hit" of this cue as it plays very stiff. He's finishing up a segmented handle cue for me pretty soon which he tells me might play stiffer than this one!!!

There's been a lot of negative stuff said about Jim in another thread by a couple people...and I have my own opinion as to why that is...

But as for me, well, I didn't know Jim until several months ago...I don't think he walks on water, or anything like that, but I would go so far at this point to consider Jim a friend who's made some cues for me...and I don't call too many people "friend"!

You're right...I like what Jim did with the sleeve to make it look less "standard"!

Thanks Mo...I never used to pay attention to the titlists until I started a thread awhile back inquiring as to WHY people liked them so much...got some real good answers as the "history" etc.

That's what I especially like about the looks of this cue...the "honey" color seems to flow throughout the entire cue...whereas the newer shaft look of a "bleached" shaft separates the two pieces. I like both styles, but on this particular cue it truly makes it flow!

If you check the thread Jim originally started on this cue, you'll see how "grungy" this titlist looked...and I too was just amazed at what was hidden underneath!
