here is a peek of things to come, this is from one of my pheonix drawings ,this is all hand tooled first then hand painted (not airbrushed), still not finished with the painting, but its close, so as you can imagine there is a ton of time into this one so far, this will be a 2x4 case with a pro light style interior, no pockets, will have a removable shoulder strap, a handle on the lid, not sure if itwill have a handle on the body of the case, this is an example of new things to come:)

New Case

Jay,
Another beautiful case. I was away from home for a few days, any updated status on my tiger case?
Regards,
Charlie

Jay is your guy for the Japanese stuff. His walls are lined with his original art. My arm is adorned with his original art which gets respect from the few Chinese tattoo artists I have shown it to.

I already told him that this phoenix is over the top. IMO Jay is going to be one of the premier case artists in the world in short order. He is one of a tiny handful of case makers who does original art rather than taking patterns and pictures from other sources.

I think that it's time that you folks started thinking a little deeper about this part of the billiard world. Cases are getting into the thousands of dollars and I fully expect them to be treated with the same respect that you give to the art of making cues and consider all facets when commenting on them and choosing what to value.

What Jay has done here is something that very few toolers can achieve.

Phoenix

Beautiful work Jay. The design, coloring, and tooling is kick butt. I especially like your translation of the clouds. You did a similar style with your dragons too. It's unique and shows your individual style in tooling. I like it a lot. Keep up the awesome work!

Really glad to see the artistry of case making carrying on.
