New Pool Hall in Cockeysville, MD

Congrats and I will definitely have to stop by sometime. I have some family in Timonium I haven't seen in a few months. Now I have more of a reason for a trip up there!

Good Luck with the room. A lot of history from the old Johnny C's. Played there a few times. Used to go the SJS right down the street. Will be sure to stop by and hit some balls when I'm down that way. Should be heading to Beaver Dam soon anyway. Best of luck.

I will be heading over around 6pm!! :)

Is a website on the works?

GREAT to hear! Good luck with the new room. I know where i'm spending my lunch hours from now on. Any chance for a 14.1 league? Oh, and what are the hourly rates?

Very Nice Room

I played there for about 2 hours this afternoon. Very nice room and excellent equipment. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend that any AZ Billiards folks in the area stop in to play. Thanks to Trevor for opening a room in this tough economy. I wish him the best of luck.

Thank you Wedge for the kind words. It was very nice to meet you.

We had a very successful opening day - better than expected. Hopefully the good turnouts continue.

Jesse - it was very nice to meet you. I hope to play more pool with you in the future.

We will hold our first tournament on Monday June 7th. Check the tournaments section later today for complete details

To answer a couple questions...

A 14.1 league is an option, but to be completely honest, I'm not knowledgable on how to run one. I'd have to familiarize myself or I'm open to someone running one.

The pool rates are $3 per hour M-F 11-5 and $6 per hour all other times. I have coupons printed out that will give players a buy one hour get one hour for free with unlimited use for 30 days. So for example, if you come in after 5:00 on a Friday and play for 4 hours, you will only pay for 2 hours. You can do this over and over for 30 days. Therefore, you will be paying $3 an hour. Ask for a coupon when you come in. They can only be used after 5pm.

Same here!!! I got there around 8pm and had a great time! Very clean and friendly place to play. I played for around 2 hours and there was a nice crowd on the tables enjoying themselves. I love that you can BYOB when I just want to kick back with friends!!! Trevor is a really cool guy and passionate about billiards. Even if you have a pool table at home is nice to stop by Magic 8 Cue Club and help support those who keep promoting the game in the area like Trevor. I encourage everyone to check it out and come down for the weekly monday tournaments!!

Had a lot of fun playing 9ball with you last night! We have to do it again. I will definitly be there on monday and try to bring some friends. I never played 14.1 before but i seen matches on video many times and heard is very good to learn and helps with other games. I might be intersted in the league. We will have to play some one day Trevor whne there is not much people around keeping you busy. See if I can pick it up.

Trevor, do you have plans to do memberships for people who come often so they can save some $ when they come down to practice after 5pm and on weekends?

That is something I'm difinitely interested in doing. I've been working on the pricing to figure out what makes sense. Flats rates is something I was always interested in when I use to play 30-40 hours a week but could never get a room to do it for me. If you are interested, let know next time you come in and we'll work something out.

Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure where the pool of players will come from I'm thinking
630 is to early 730 or 8 is the usual start time for weekly turnys I think 5/3 is more than doable with 9 tables if there's decent players attending

I applaud a 6:30 start time, that way the matches may actually start by 7:30 or 8pm. Normal working people may not want to play in a tourney that ends at 1 or 2am in the morning during the week.

If they can start at 6:30 every week I'd be impressed. I can't remember a tournament that actually started on time. I'm sure that somewhere there's been one that did but I can't remember it.

Play at my monthly events at VIP. We'll start on time for you...:)

As I had the day off last Thursday, I had a chance to visit this gem of a pool room.

My memories of the room go back 20 plus years, I never got their much because it was a 2 + hour drive from my home in Lusby.

Now that I have an apartment in Baltimore, I will be spending more time at the room. Trevor is a very gracious host, and a nice guy. He is done a lot to that room since he acquired it.

It now will be my regular stop for the 9 ball tourney, on Monday nights.
