New pool hall in vegas?

I think most on here are just looking at this new room as just a poolroom, when it has a dinning area, serving good meals, not finger food. Gambling devices, and I believe a small dance floor. Also giant TV's for the sports bar appeal. I'll bet on Mark. Best of rolls with it Mark. Johnnyt

Sorry Str8, but your absence may not even be noticed!...

PS..All public places in Arizona, are now non-smoking..I believe even private membership clubs (Elks, Amer. Legion, etc., that used to be exempt) are now included..Almost all have separate outdoor areas for smokers, as I'm sure Scott will too!

Did you need to get out of your cave and see the real deal with smoking. Private Clubs like VFW, DAV, American Legion, Eagles, Elk can allow smoking. If they choose too.

Infact our local American Legion in Peoria has Cigar night once a month I know this as several folk I know are Cigar smokers. The Elk up the street is no smoking. It is up to the private club to set their own policy, but many do allow smoking.

For everyone speculating on the smoking situation for Mark's new room, here is what he said about it 3 months ago:

This is an 8,000 square foot room. We have completely removed or replaced everything, even all the insulation and ceiling tile. There is no smoke smell anywhere.

All air conditioning has been revamped. Ducts cleaned. Some parts weren't even connected or working. We're installing new exhaust system in the front bay(building is a combo of 6 bays) they will pull all stale air out of the building. There was ample supply to support this change.

Smoke is necessary in a bar with gaming - but the back half will be non- smoking. With the air exchange we have, plus the 120 feet of building length, their will be minimal smoke. Every bay also has its own supply and exhaust - and they work. So to compare this to the previous Pool Sharks would be unrealistic.

I'm very sensitive to smoke. If I can sign off on it, I think just about anyone can.

Griff's

Griff's is scheduled to open Sept. 6, if everything goes as planned. It will have eight 9-foot Diamond tables, 17 7-foot tables and one 12-foot antique Brunswick snooker table. It will open as nonsmoking to see how it goes. If smoking is allowed in the future, it will only be allowed within the gaming area.
The venue is going to have fantastic food, great service, great drinks and a comfortable, but classy atmosphere.
There will be plenty of league pool playing out of Griff's and league players will receive a 25 percent discount on all food during their league night!
Like 'Griff's' on Facebook to get updates on the grand opening! We hope to see you all there!

Looks like a room full of Diamond tables... It's gonna be a great place to visit when I come to Vegas...

Smoking

I was told that there will be NO smoking in the pool table area. See Griffs Facebook page for info.

Griff's in las vegas

Just saw this thread early this morning. I'll try to post an update later today. We're hoping to open in 3 weeks or so. It will be one of the nicest rooms in the country.

No smoking - that will be revisited when gaming license is approved in 8 months or so. This is NOT a normal pool room - it's more like a night club with pool tables; but no loud music -lol.

26 tv and full NFL package plus full streaming and viewing of streaming matches. Lots of league play, tournaments, and streaming challenge matches.

Excellent food service. This will really be a destination for any serious players or fans.

More to come later.
