Best of luck. I've been watching your progress on the WPPS page in FB. Wisconsin has some great poolrooms already and I hope yours adds to the success.

Now get Joe Tucker's ABC League going up there and get some other rooms to sign up with you.
 
Great news seeing a new place open... if I'm ever in the area I'll check it out.

Hi English! We needed a name that was billiards friendly, but also banquet friendly. We will have the largest banquet facility in the county with 400+ capacity. Needed those brides to like the name as well. ;)
 
Here is WHY I know Pool has potential....

Why is it that poolrooms are closing in urban areas, while simultaneously opening in more rural areas ?? This confounds me b/c it is backwards from a business perspective. :confused:

Guessing the main killer for many pool halls is the rent getting jacked up.
Rent in the city is probably quite a bit higher than in the rural areas.
Also people in rural areas will flock to a place if it's the only game in town...
used to occasionally shoot at a place in northern Maine and there was absolutely
nothing else to do in town... no clubs no bars no late night restaurants.
But there is a pool hall in a big warehouse-looking thing in the woods.
So that's where you find all the kids (and all the adults, and a bunch of old-timers too).

The theory with cities is you got a lot more potential customers within walking distance,
but you also are competing with a million other options.
 
Its great to hear of a new pool hall opening, GOOD LUCK, I hope it is a success. Do you plan on having any weekend tournaments? I live about an hour away and I would gladly make the trip.:thumbup:
