New SEARING Cue, New Pics....

Everything

Everything is in perfect proportion up and down the cue!!!

It is amazing how complex the work can be on something as "simple" as a merrywidow. Nothing is ever simple on a Searing Precision Cue!

Thanks for sharing Mark!

It's all about balance....and rings of the same size as the wrap at the joint sections would just be too squished together to make much sense.

If you're talking about the height of the black phenolic...that's done with a purpose as well. With the half joint construction, the cue looks perfect with the phenolic collars at the size they are now.

Dennis went to great lengths to ensure that the cue was in perfect harmony, sizing and all.

Thanks much for your inputs.

Mark

Wha???

You go on vacation for a few months and your pictures get taken down? How am I supposed to get my Searing fix?

At 10:29 this morning, the FedEx guy became my favorite mail carrier of all time!!!

My photo skills are lacking, but the 12 pics attached in this thread are the best ones of the 50-something I took.

A few pleasant surprises accompanied this gorgeous cue.

1. Quite a few business cards that Dennis sent along.

2. A brand new Guisseppe 1x2 case used to ship the cue. A HUGE "thank you" to BOYNTON BILLIARDS, INC. for making the delivery all the more incredible!!!

3. A matching cue cap that Dennis made for me, without my knowledge. It's a perfect match to the cue, and has matching inlay work! That brings the total number of inlays to a whopping 168!!!

The inlays are stunning. The reflection of light off of the silver causes a dancing "flash" when the cue is moved or spun. I've never seen anything quite like it...and it's flat-out incredible. I tried to take a couple pics of the reflection off of the silver inlays...just so ya'll can get an idea of what I'm talking about. All inlays line up perfectly, up and down the cue from the shaft joint to the buttcap...which then lines up with the signature on the forearm, and the "S" on the cap. Talk about attention to detail!!! The mirror finish on the joint is sweet as hell...and looks great against the black phenolic, ivory, and silver.

The cue is absolutely perfect, and I am beside myself. I cannot thank you enough, Dennis. This cue means the world to me, and I will cherish it, and the journey we took to get here!!!
