tony, all good things take time! Thanks to kenny, dean, ken, erich, chris, mike, and duane for the kind words.
This is a very nice looking and classic cue, much better in person. My pictures were taken quickly and do not show the true colors of the veneers. But more important, in my opinion, this is one of the special Szamboti's that have the unique "ping" when striking a ball. It's hard to explain, but when I hear it I know the cue will play the way I like a cue to play. I showed the cue to my wife and she said it was beautiful. Later when I was playing with the cue she was in the other room and asked "is that the new cue you are playing with"? I said yes, why do you ask, and she said because it has a nice sound to it. My wife does not play pool but has watched me play at times and this was the first time she commented on the sound of the cue. People ask why Szamboti's are special or why they cost so much, there is a reason!
