new table

This is the pool table I bought for the senior center in my town.I found an 8 foot os Gandy in very nice shape. It did not appear to have been recovered too many times for an old table.Jones Bros replaced the cushions and the cloth and the install was pretty straightforward . I saw that they used a machinist level even. The table plays great, the pockets are pretty generous but is okay for the skill set here. I did buy a better ball set but stuck with their standard cloth, made by Brunswick . It is a bit nappy and slow but I think it will get faster over time.I am very happy, money well spent in my opinion .

BigG. Play fine. Played on a bunch of them back in the 80's. Not a GC for sure but a helluva addition to your center. Have fun.

I did the same thing years ago for a local boys club. I gave him a nice gold crown that I had in storage. Of course in a few months they just sold it claiming it took up too much room and nobody used it anyway. Of course they could have just contacted me and I would have come and got it.

Very generous and will be used/appreciated. Nice of you to do that.

As for Gandy my first table (1979) was the Gander Hustler. Could not afford the Big G. I had a blast with that Gandy. It was a butcher block look with a fuzzy chocolate cloth. Centennial ball set.

Gar is correct. My cue is an Owen Bushka tribute cue I got from Ted,,,cuesblues here on AZB .
I hope the table gets some use by more than just me,the centers director was very pleased. He did let me know that once I donated it it was theirs to do with as they wish. On the plus side they will take care of any work in the future. Let's hope it doesn't end up in the mayors office.

Bob has made a few tributes, some 'bushka's and Petersons too. Unreal work. My buddie Charlie may have sold his. Might be your cue. Buy it new or used?

Cue was used,it was once in the hands of deanoc. The cue looked brand spanking new when I got it .

My buddy Charlie bought one exactly like it. May have different joint rings but other than that they're twins. I think his was meant for Dean but Bob called him and said he had a buyer in the shop so Charlie got it and Bob made deano another one.
