new to the boards

That was the other thing about the Green Room. Never saw floors so far off kilter but the tables played great. Saw more than a little arguing at the shuffleboard table. And they allow you to bring your dog in, never saw a dog get out of line there.

Funny place that Green Room...........Paul

Its a Duke hangout most of the time, so its usually tame. I saw Eva do her trick shot exhibition there last year when the WPBA was in town.

Thats me in the last picture, standing outside.

Welcome. You live just down the road from St. Elmo's, in Norfolk. That's where Luther Lassiter's ghost still practices, over in the far corner.

Glad you made it Matt, told you this place was great with great people (and some haters) ignore them:grin: There is a search button, top right ^
that will tell you everything you need to know. Rodney everyone is talking about goes by "Run out Rodney" and hangs at Smokehouse and The Dog House North every once and a while, cool dude. I heard Babinue's in Raliegh is a great place, I was supposed to go there this year to play in the US Amateurs but, went to Texas instead. Next year maybe.

Welcome Nature Boy, I went to Players in Galleria plaza since I moved here in 1991 from MD, best place on the beach. It had a snooker table, 2-10x5's and 17-9fter's, 2-carom tables(removed shortly after) no barboxes. It was cheap even back then to play all night and opened to 6am. Walk up the stairs and take the elevator down when you got wasted and it was only on the 2nd floor:grin: Players was shut down in the late 90's :crying:
Anyway, welcome to the forum.

Welcome, although I am new myself.

Is Players still in North Myrtle? Cool place when I went there years ago.

GO USA!!! Mosconi Cup

That stinks. I went there quite a bit and it was definitely one of the best rooms ever.

I still go to Myrtle from time to time time. Where would one go now?

I haven't been down there in a couple of years, but the last time I was there, the only place I could find with 9 footers was Smokehouse.

Well, like Pooltchr said, there is basically one choice. Smokehouse Billiards is very nice, 18 Valley barboxes, 3 Olhausen 8ft's and 3 Olhausen 9fter's, $4 an hour. It is located off of 501 across the street from the Hard Rock/Freestyle Music Amusement Park. There is a new place around the corner called, The Corner Pocket but, it is expensive to play there. One other nice poolhall is in Conway called The Breakroom. Breakroom is nicer but to far of a drive for me and hard to find for the tourist's. Look me up when you come here. Ron

Welcome..... I joined not that long ago, and have learned a hell of a lot here..... This site ROCKS. People here are very knowledgeable.
