What is the boards opinion of Longoni cues? I have a Longoni that I have been playing with since 1994........but now i want to switch to a custom cue. What do you guys/girls think of Longoni's?

Longoni is not custom? I've never heard of it. Nevertheless, play with what you like and what gives you confidence.

They are made in Italy. They are more known for their Carom cues. But after 14 years I think I want to try to switch it up a bit. I'm really interested in S.W. cues, it just seems they are hard to find

try another, but hang on to the Longoni!

Try other cues but hang on to the Longoni. There is an old saying, paraphrased "fear the man with only one gun, he is probably very good with it!" This is true of pool cues too. While there are some good players who are always chasing after the latest fad when I am judging a stranger in a pool hall one of the first things I look at is his cue. If it is obviously old and well cared for I give that serious consideration. The cue is probably part of that person's arm by now.

I swapped cues now and then but played with each for a fairly long period of time. I have to say I hated every new cue I ever got. Took awhile to make the new one work no matter how good it was.

Thanks for the advice

Welcome DarkShark. For Sure hang on to that cue. Suggestion, maybe have another shaft made, try a different tip ferrule set up. And if money isnt a concern then heck yeah get that SW also. We have some very good Cue Makers among us. We have Traders that give some unbelievable deals. Some production Cues have earned a good reputation, and there are alot of new design technology in the shafts. Alot of choices, have fun and good luck.

They're not that hard to find, but you better bring your checkbook! They start around $1K, and go up quickly, depending on how fancy they are...and we're talking buying a used one. There is something like an 8-year+ wait, to have one made custom for you. :D

There is nothing wrong with Longoni cues. Feijen has been playing with one for years.
