Here are a few pics I'd like to share of a recently delivered cue. Its a new 2008 Varney merry widow style Hoppe. The forearm & buttsleeve are purpleheart and the handle is an incredible piece of figured anigre. I'll post a few pics showing the handle from different angles...its stunning in person. I apologize to its owner for the delay...I hope the wait was worth it. Welcome to the ever growing Varney family.:)

Nice to see you back in action...cant wait for my conversion!

I'll have your pics up in the next few days. I finished it originally in my satin but then I redid it with auto clear just to make the veneer colors pop a bit more. Now they are a bit much more vibrant than when you last saw the blank. You should be quite happy...plus the "hit" is pretty sporty too.

Thank you Ken for the compliment. You are always a gentleman. :)

Is "anigre" in the maple family?

Great wood combinations and the details in the pictures are just exceptional.
Thanks for posting the pictures - looking forward to seeing the next batch.

agreed . i have not been in the gallery this week , i missed out on sweet varney stuff !!!

I just wanted to bump this cue one more time. I spoke to the owner again last night & he couldn't stress enough how well this cue hit. He's somewhat a collector with a nice group of top shelf cues. This is the only one he'll play with now. Yes....it makes me proud.:)

Kevin,

This is a good looking cue. Every time you post a new cue it gets my heart going knowing I just got one step closer to mine.
