I really have to hand it to Jorge Torres. Propoolvideo.com is great for the sport and the fans. I find myself checking daily to see if there are any new videos on there. The newest match between Coery and Earl is definitely entertaining. Earl is himself ofcourse....and its pretty funny. Thanks, Jorge....please keep up the good work.

That is a great site and thanks for mentioning it again.

Did you notice the little spat during the seventh game? Corey hit a ball and Earl called foul too loud for Corey's liking. Funny stuff.

man, Earl's crazier than a shithouse rat
he's got his chopped off cue and his "high impact-gyration reducing elbow puff, it's guaranteed to ward off rheumatism and evil spirits or your money back":D

Damn, that's hilarious bigskyjake.

But I don't get it, where was the foul? Oh, I saw it now, it wasn't a good hit. Corey was still pushing through the cue ball at the point that it made contact with the nine in order to get it to follow.

Yeah I like this guy's site as well. It's a good video. I've never seen Corey get that pissed off. You don't get to see this kind of stuff in the televised matches.

It was a double hit...not that it mattered, Corey scratched nonetheless.

What I thought was pretty funny was the fact that Earl called the foul when it occured which was a double hit on the cue ball, then the cue ball traveled and fell into the pocket but then Corey barked at him for hollering "foul" too loud but then scolds him that he wasn't going to cheat him and adds the cue ball went in the damn pocket as if that was the foul and not the double hit on the cue ball. Earl could be heard being almost apologetic at least that's the way it seemed. Later on Earl, hollers a little louder, maybe in the next game on an obvious foul, "FOUL" and laughs kind of giggling. But it could have been Corey who hollered FOUL (on himself), loudly the next game as I can't be sure. Also on the first foul when Corey said Earl I'm not going to cheat you, there seemed to be a chorus in the background like a group of people were practicing "OM" meditation together and loudly just as Corey was pulling the trigger.

I think my favorite two players in the future to watch will be Corey and Earl. I like the idea of Corey barking at Earl and Earl doing nothing more than playing the good guy.

Do you think Corey was trying to do anything to Earl when he made the remark that the cue ball went into the pocket.

And was Earl trying to do anything to Corey when he laments in an almost kindly way that he didn't do anything and can't he even express himself or something to that effect. There was regular conversation/banter all throughout the match by both players although not too flamboyant in my opinion.

Do you think that players occasionally and sometimes continuously utilize the English language to wage psychological war on each other during the match, hoping to get a new set of unneeded adrenaline flowing in their opponents blood? Or do you just think I'm just simply crazy. LOL.

Great site. I loved the carom stuff.

Earl has flown over the coo coo's nest.

He had a kidney belt, an elbow brace, a glove and tape around his fingers. His stance on his break didn't seam right. He won the match so I can't make fun of him too much. Maybe if he adds a neck brace, a knee brace and a jock strap he can win the U.S. Open next year.:D

The sharking started when Earl raked the balls in the 4th game I think after missing the eight ball. This should have a greater penalty than loss of game because it's unprofessional and it's cheating by depriving Corey of a chance to get better in stroke and more comfortable on the table. It's a shark move for sure, and probably contributed to Corey's attitude after Earl yelled foul. These guys love each other...

Earl shot above 11-ball ghost speed at about 918 accu-stats while Corey could've lost to the 6-ball ghost with his 836 rating. Yes, I know they are playing 10-ball, and I didn't count breaks, but... Corey only ran 6 balls or more 2 times.

No, you are not crazy.

Ricky Bingham from Kentucky is a CLASS ACT.

Some tournaments penalize the loser if they rake the balls with the loss of that game plus the loss of another.

Not letting your opponent shoot an easy layout of a few balls does deny them the opportunity to stay in stroke, but I don't see that when you have only one ball hung in the hole.

Once I was playing in a nine ball Senior's tour tournament in Florida with a fellow by the name of Rick Bingham from Kentucky. I was struggling with my game and a bit frustrated with my level of play and while we were trading games back and forth and even at about 3/3, I jarred the nine ball, left it sitting on edge of the pocket and the cue was in the middle of the table and I said, "That's good Rick" and racked the next rack without letting Rick shoot the hung nine ball. Ricky showed me what class is when after I racked and before he broke, he walked over to me and discreetly and quietly told me that one of the rules in this tournament was that you can't concede any balls and that if you do, you lose not only that game but another as well. He confided that he just wanted to make sure I knew about the rule so no one else could call it on me. He made sure the tournament director nor anyone else was listening. I later confirmed what he said to be true and he will always have my admiration and respect as to how a gentleman should conduct himself.

On the other hand, I had a professional player call a foul on me recently when I was attempting to break a nine ball rack, when my cue tip touched the cue ball and moved it three inches forward of the headstring. IMHO, while it was the rule for that tournament, it wasn't a very classy move on the pros part, especially when he was playing a lowly amateur like myself. Pro's name will not be mentioned here as it woudn't benefit anyone.

P.S. I saw Corey rake the balls during the set as well when he didn't get shape on the 6 ball or maybe it was the five.

one thing i learned over time is to never ever concede any games. i have seen funny things happen. i remember this guy jarred the nine left it hanging, and his opponent got mad because he was making him shoot the easy nine, then got down, hit the the shot so hard that he scratched without even touching the nine.
