I would like to see a skins format. 3 or 4 top players 10 ball.

BVal

Shannon & Hohmann could really do a great job...so could Mika ... Parica ... Archer ... Souquet ... Alex ... Cliff ... Feijen ... Orcollo ... a healthy Buddy or Nick ... the list could go on & on.

There's a great pool to draw from for the all-around, but I would be careful in how you bring the players in. Start with Reyes and its pretty much over.

Varner - vs - Strickland

I would loveeeeeee to see a Varner - Strickland U.S. Open rematch.

I've seen a few games from that match and go back quite often just to see two of the best play at their peak.

Just my .02

I was talking to Mike Sigel last week. He said he would be interested in playing 9 ball with Earl.

I think that would be the best match-up.

Mike is always entertaining - controversial - he could realy help build up the challenge like a heavyweight prize fight. He can still play pretty darn good too... just ask him! :D

Earl is Earl. You never know what's going to happen when he's there. He brings excitement, action, and ATTENTION to everything he does and everywhere he goes.

Two very entertaining Hall of Famers -

Strickland Vs Sigel

I think that would be great!

Dave,
Did he (Sigel) have anything to say about the IPT? Do you think he'll ever compete again? I've always liked Sigel and it would be great to see him play more.

Your idea of a Strickland vs Sigel match is a great one. I would have used a word better than great if I knew one....:D

I don't

know if the old guys would be willing to put up 10 big ones since they probably do not play that often anymore.

As I posted in the other thread, Shane vs. Stalev, the Russian. The World Power Challenge, USA vs. Russia.

Would prefer all-around, but would settle for 10 ball.

I've been hoping to see Shannon Daulton in an all-around. The problem is going to be if one of the three games is 14.1. He doesn't play that game much. If it would be a "Derby-like" contest of 9 ball, one pocket and banks, he's going to shine.

I'd like to see a 5,000.00 buy in ring game with some of the older players

Cole Dickson
Keith
Cardone
Grady
Wade Crane

just an idea

Keith McCready
Jimmy Fusco

Here's my "5 man Legend's All-Around"
Nick Varner

Terry,
Mike told me that he had just gone down to Ft. Lauderdale with Kevin for a "yacht show" ... lol

Mike said that Kevin has partnered up with new people that will bring the IPT back with a completely different format. Mike didn't elaborate very much about it (I mean come on... I am the IPT Prophet of Doom) but he did say that the people Kevin has partnered with are reputable business people that have worked with several Fortune 500 companies such as Home Depot.

Mike blames the fall of the IPT on the fact that congress passed laws against internet gambling in the US, thus cancelling out the deal with Stanley Ho. Apparantly KT has taken a different angle on the IPT this time and Mike said it will be bigger and better than the last time.

As far as Mike matching up with Earl, rrfireblade and I were watching Mike shoot for a while, and h'e still hitting them pretty good. Mike is 54 years old and he said he feels like he's shooting just as well as he did in his 20's and 30's.

I think with a more aggressive and entertaining marketing approach, matchups like Sigel-Strickland will draw more attention and increase the buy rates for the webcasts.

Tony Watson
Shannon Daulton
Alex Pagulayan
Scotty Townsend

Ring game. Each player must take a shot every 10 minutes for duration of match.

How about this one...

KING OF THE BAR BOX RING GAME

Shane Van Boening
Jesse Bowman
Keith McCready
Scotty Townsend
David Matlock

9 Ball
$10,000 buy in
Winner take all

Who wouldn't pay to see this one?

This deserves its own thread. Thanks for the info Blackjack. Here's to hopin. Assuming what Mike said is not all baloney, the question then becomes...would the players ever put their trust in KT again?

Back to the topic...

I'd like to see Pagulayan challenge Harriman for the all around crown.

Larry Nevel would be a great all around player. He plays all games pretty sporty. larry nevel vs danny harriman?

I would personally love to see this. I think the format that Harriman and Schmidt just played would be perfect. I might be able to get this setup actually. I'll check with my side.

Yep, Nevel is another good one.

He's a guy who's been on the scene for a long time and is still getting better. I don't think he's peaked yet.

I would still have Shannon and Danny H as the favorites over him, but not by much.
