Nice out by me

You should practice using tight pockets because you are prepared for the worst in real competition.
And when you play on tables with generous pocket sizes, you will be a much, much stronger player.

So when visitors come to play on your home table, they have to beat you by only playing their best.
It’s analogous to playing on 9’ tables all your life and switching to 7’ tables. The game is just easier.

If you become good playing with tight pockets, you’ll become a monster playing with 5” corner pockets.
That’s twice as wide as a pool ball.....2x......that’s awfully generous IMO.....4.5” should be the standard.

p.s. 4 3/8” is even better.

Yes sir. I agree 100%! I've got 2 sets of rails, the stock set to original size pockets (Artemis cushions) and a pro-cut set (Superspeed cushions) and I will confirm that the bigger pockets make me lazy. 4.5 inch should be the standard nowadays.

Very nicely done. The shot from the one to the two, in particular, was exceptional.

You should ignore the absurd comments about pocket size. You had to play short side position twice (onto both the two and eight ball) to get out, and that's impressive on any size pockets.

Pool is for enjoyment first, and if these are the conditions under which you enjoy playing, don't change a thing.
